Hello guys,
Time for me to do a well overdue introduction.

I've been running my second TDM 850 since last february. Been biking all my life along with every other form of wheeled transport (except artics). When times were flush i had a 3 yr old TDM. Now times aren't quite so flush and I'm using a 18 yr ols TDM 850. Still put a grin on my face though. I also am a member of www.biker.ie.

Edited by crispy, 18 January 2009 - 08:31 pm.

I don't like YZ250's anymore.........check out my avatar, one literally kicked me in the ass

I just like the idea of a road legal one. laugh.gif

Never had a go in gyro. Got about 8 hours solo in gliders many years back but then university got in the way and I've never really had the time and money spare to go back to flying.

G'day, Nice to join you all here at Carpe. I'm an Ex-pat Aussie and unrepentant TDM lover, recently relocated in Dubai. Any other TDM riders in the Emirates? I haven't noticed any on the roads yet which is a great disapointment.
Unfortunately I don't have a bike at the moment and haven't had for nearly nine years, unless you count the stepthru I had in Vietnam. I owned a 91 model for seven years. Bought it 2nd hand and put about 100,000km on it in that time. It was brilliant, never missed a beat and gave me lots of good times. One of the saddest days I had was having to sell it when I left Oz to work overseas. Second saddest was seeing what I think was my bike being sold for parts on the site.
sorry.gif
Anyway, as soon as I get firmly settled here I hope to be in the market for some wheels again and for sure a 900 will be at the top of my list. As I haven't been able to locate any here at all and the dealers I have spoken to don't know anything about TDM's I may go to GB and pick up one there. Could be a very interesting trip riding it back to the UAE. Might ask Ewan and charlie if they want to join me.
Take care everybody. Rubber side down!

Hi all.

First time for me on your forum; I use usually "ouestlekeum.com" cause of course I'm French.
Firstly, let me excuse me for my bad level in English; but your language is like my wife...I can not control her!
So, I'm 40, married, 2 children, I live in south of France, at Bordeaux (well known for the wine).
I own a grey TDM900 2002. I'm so happy to have this motorbike, it's a wonderful bike, but of course you know that! But currently I have some questions for you, and more particularly for the Americans.
I have to plan a journey near Washington with my bike, but I know there's no TDM 900 in the States, so my questions is to know if I can find parts or regular services for this bike in USA.
Moreover, soon I hope, I will live for 3 years in Washington, DC, and same questions, can a dealer have parts for my bike and ensure services without waiting 2 months to have a part(prices!!!). Crucial questions for me, do I keep my TDM 900 or must I sell it and buy a new bike in USA?
Thanks to answer me if you have any information about it cause I can not find information on the US website.

Now back to english..... laugh.gif
