Hi all
Moved up to County Durham six years ago from Birmingham. The roads up here are fantastic for biking and I'm out most weekends when the weather allows it. Hartside cafe is about a 40minute run from where I live and the Lakes are just beyond.
Had my 2002 TDM 900 for over a year now and I've been on more runs than ever before. Being a tall chap I've always been uncomfortable on the bikes I've had in the past. Unfortunately it's not until you've been out all day on your nice new purchase that you find this out.
The TDM is comfortable and I can ride it all day without (too many) aches and pains. I've just hit the big 50 but the up side is that the family are old enough to look after themselves now to allow me get out and about. Doing a Scotland tour in June with some mates and planning a run around France next year.
Hope to bump in some of yers on my travels.
Andy

welcome Andy

I am from south shields (b. there 1949 - but now living in cheshire) so aware of God's country (shame about the football-ouch)

you have the benefit of northern dales (hawes etc), durham moors (high force), north york moors (helmlsey) and of course northumberland (the delights of A68and up to the borders) to enjoy, so your TDM will get well used I am sure

hope to see you at Tan Hill on Sunday if you PM mobile phone to me or Ivan (geordie guy) we can check times

Hello everyone!!!

I joined carpe yesterday so am rather new to the site. I've just put a deposit down on the worlds cleanest TDM (see if you can guess who its from). I live in Huddersfield (Mirfield really) near Big Dave. I started biking about a year ago and have pretty much stopped using my car altogether now. Have had a GSX600F (teapot) until now but find it abit peaky unless your going for it (and Big Dave constantly takes the P***).

I don't take the p155, the GSX is a super bike, it stops on a sixpence, primarily because it hasn't got the power to get over it.

Thanks very much, I've added it to my favourites. It looks rather concise.

Yeah its a nice place in the country to be with all the hills around. Perfect for a TDM hehe. I still keep finding new roads around where I live that I'd never have gone down in the car.

Hi to all,

Name is Dave, and im just in the process of getting a TDM 900, deposit is paid and im flying over to the UK next week to pick it up.

Im a Brit currently living & working in Southern Ireland, I still have my Suzuki Bandit 650s which i still think is a great bike and has done all i have asked of it, inc a tour of Southern France. I think the TDM will be more suited to the roads here in Southern Ireland, just cant wait to pick it up.
