Recovery is coming along really well, thanks.

Having broken only two bones in my life, the other a collar bone some 50 years ago I was surprised how much the ankle froze up while in the cast for 6 weeks.

My "smiling" physiotherapist keeps telling me to keep stretching the movements ..." it's all good pain, don't worry" , he says,

"Yeah! easy for you to say. If it wasn't for my 40 year old mind driving my 56 + year old body, you'd be out of business" I tell him.

They say I was quite lucky they didn't have to cut the skin to repair the fibula.

Off to the fabulous Flinders Ranges, May 22nd for my next adventure, this was last years Flinders Ranges Classic I 2008

Good to hear you are recovering. Can't already wait for your next rideblog. Good luck and take care. Hope TDM will be more durable than in Flinders Ranges Classic I 2008. Ride as fast as your angel can fly!

Nice new video and great bike control. Makes me chuckle that you leave the luggage on. You should get a job testing Givi stuff.

I think the topbox is where the brain goes before they go off-roading.

Some cracking vids there. What tyres are you using Jonc? I looked at getting a Trail attack for my Mk1 last time, but it wasn't in the right size.

The most popular tyre is Heidenau K60. Also Mitas E09, E08 and E07 are used. Looks like K60 is nearly the best universal tyre that can be used on tarmac and also on softer surfaces. On tarmac E09 seems to wear out quite fast, E07 is too road orientated for us. Not much experience with E08 yet.
