I won't ever use Carole Nash on principle.

7 years ago whilst in southern France, one of our party crashed and nearly lost a leg (fortunately didn't). Bike was unrideable.

Once his injuries were deemed not life threatening, i.e. within a couple of hours of incident, we eventually got around to calling CN insurance for help with bike recovery, hospital costs etc etc, as he not only had bike insurance with them, but also travel insurance.

CN did not want to know.
Despite doing everything that was asked for over the phone, he had to pay for his hospital bill, flight home and bike recovery out of his own pocket. To be fair, CN did put him onto a local company who would ensure his bike was brought home, but he would have to pick up the costs.

Bike arrives in uk a month later, on its side, on a palatte, strapped down with 2" wide ratchet straps.... over the fairings and tank. Bike was a right-off, not because of the inital damage which was only a bent wheel and buckled disc, but because of the subsequent damage.

CN, thieving robbing couldn't care less bastids. And that is their good points.

Besides, with MCD, £195 F/C on 4 bikes.... why go anywhere else?

I'll stick my two cents in here.
I've just renewed with Carole Nash.
34 year old, full NCB, £180 fully comp for a 1997 TDM 850, a 1996 Fireblade and a 1992 DT 125. All with £100 excess and full euro break down cover, green card cover etc...

Bennetts messed me about in the past so I won't use them again!

I've just renewed with Ebike for the princely sum of £74 TPFT. Lovely jubbly. It seems they've stopped European breakdown recovery on TPFT and to buy on Comp would've cost £130 extra. I'm sure I can get European breakdown recovery for half of that.

Blue 04 TDM,PR2 rear Roadsmart front, Yamaha topox, Givi E360 panniers, PL pannier holders, BMW handguards, Yamaha touring screen, Scottoiler, 12v ciggie socket, carbon core HT leads

Gorn :sorry:
