Hi all,
After a spill at the weekend (ouch), can anyone tell me what model of Renthal handlebars I could get as a replacement to the original 900 bars?
I'm guessing they're going to be cheaper than Yam originals!
I don't mind if they're a tad wider, but I still want them the same pitch etc, so there's no change to the riding position.
I will be fitting my GS1150 handguards onto them also, will this be a problem?
Many thanks,
Paul

Renthal 755 are probable the closest to the stock bars
the 754 are approx 15mm lower & the 756 are approx 20mm taller.
I was thinking of trying the 756's on my 9'er rather than the extension blocks.

I have 755 medium road bars on mine.

and they can be fitted easily with DL650 handguards using Motrax crash protectors.

If you want any more detailed pics, let me know.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I like those bars..
I've just spoke to my local shop, they reckon they can get original bars for £69 which is much better than I anticipated, but I think those Renthals might have won me over

Sorry, don't think I can oblige on that one, as the original bars were bent quite badly and I'm not sure if I still have them! I will have a look for you, though.
Height is pretty much the same. The Renthals are about 20mm wider each side and don't pull back quite as much (straighter), which I find more comfortable. The bars are quite different visually because the standard bars are a fair bit narrower before they bend up from the middle clamp section and also bend upwards at a steeper angle. I think a few people have successfully cut the extra 20mm from the ends and tapped a 16mm metric fine thread to use standard Yamaha bar ends. If you wanted the Renthal look, but retain the standard width, that would be the way to go.

Got my Renthals on with Motrax bar ends.... looks really good, thanks.
Although I was disappointed to find that the 755's are actually lower than the originals (can't tell the difference in riding position), but it meant I had to butcher the 1150GS handguards to make them fit.
