Paddy / Chris,

Just been thinking about where we could meet up ?

looks like you are 1.5 hrs away from Stonehouse on the A71 near Junction 8 of the M74

I am about 3.5 hrs away from the same point.

If your Ferry gets in a 9.30 and you take your time getting off the ferry and along the route, you could be there at say 11.30.

Rob, Colin, Chris, it would be easier for all of us to meet up in one go, than trying to plot 3 diffrent meeting places.

What do you think about meeting up at say 8.00 at the Lancashire services on the M6, The UFO one. unsure.gif

and then set off from there, its about 2.5 hrs 150 miles straight run up from there to stonehouse.

After we meet up , there is a few different routes up to Aviemor, plenty of time yet to decide which one to take,
looks like the shortest is about 3 hrs from Stonehouse.

Just a thought .

Cheers, Ivan

Hey Ivan/Paddy Chris,

I'm in Glasgow and will be heading up on the friday, I can meet up with you. If you move your meeting point just a few miles north to the Hamilton services at junc 6 M74 then those who arrive early can relax with a coffee while waiting for the rest. I'm sure Andy(Haw Maw) was talking about heading up early on the friday as well.

Cheers

Hi Ivan,

I think that Forton Services (M6 just before junc.33) would be the ideal meeting place.

I also think that Johnny W's idea of Hamilton Services on the M74 is also a good idea. It is probably safer to have a local guide in case the natives are revolting around Glasgow!!

I also fancy the suggestion of the A82 via Fort William.

That's my two penny worth, but I'm happy to go with the flow ( She's a nice girl Flo)
