Yep Chris thats how I understand it, good.gif

I have to give Andy ( Hawmaw ) a text with our ETA at Glasgow.

Bearing in mind my own personal tank, I usualy get 89.3 miles to the p!ss, so there will have to be a few stops on the way up or the last one will be to a hospital.

If we stop above Gretna, I can text Andy as we will have about an hour to go to get to Sunny Glasgow.

What size string vest do you want ? You'll need it to pass boarder control, dont forget a bottle of Iron Bru
and to p!ss yourself of course.

Cheers, Ivan

Sounds like you'll do it naturally if you get to 90 miles tongue.gif

After umming and ahing for a bit I think I've decided I'm not comming. Can't really justify a 1500 mile long weekend away on the bike while I've not got a job. Have fun, and the rest of us expect to see lots of photos, preferably of cake but some scenery would be nice too.

Does look good, but unless you're pushed for time, can I suggest you avoid a section of the A93 and take the B976 to Crathie (Pass the church and the Castle gate, visit the Royal Lochnagar distillery where my grandad used to be manager?), then continue along the B976 on the south side of the Dee at least as far as Aboyne, or take the B993 to Potarch (Old bridge: 2 big stones by the roadside are famous as a test of strength to carry in each hand over the bridge) to rejoin the main road. The A93 is fast, for sure, but the South Deeside road (B976) more rural and twisty and avoids towns/villages. Have a great time, guys!

Later edit: Oops - just twigged that you'll be going clockwise so will need to reverse the above directions! Good views coming over the Cabrach road, and a nice uphill 20% gradient on the Lecht smile.gif

This route looks like Saturday, but three of us are staying and extra night, so if you want to try and meet up Sunday, no problem.

We have not discussed where we we going to go on sunday, so any suggestions.

What is this apple strudell ?

I thought that might be a run this year.

Cheers, Ivan

I'll have all day Sunday to play with so we could look at the weather and plan a route on the day. If it's looking good I could show you the really good roads north and west of Inverness.

You guys planning to stop in Elgin (or therabouts)? Sadly, my TDM is still under wraps or I would have popped down to Aviemore.
Did I mention 135mph?

And that's official

If you want to divert 5 miles up the road to Lossiemouth, I'll get the missus to put on a great big pot of tea and a plate of cream buns for ya all.
