Hello,

I'm Sami from Finland riding with 2005 model TMD900. Got it last year and this is my first bike after 50cc Honda Monkey so quite a big jump. 4800km on the dash and only 1100km clocked by me during last autumn as the winter tends to ruin our hobby season. Liked so far, only some minor gripes about low end running. I'm going to get the bike dynoed and see what comes out of it. Gonna need a K&N or BMC filter before that.

Bike came with OEM luggage, LeoVince Oval slipons, PC3usb and OEM engine guards. I have added OEM centerstand as it helps maintenance and fiddling. When my rented garage starts to warm up in the spring I will install already acquired Pro-Oiler and Saito2 heated grips. Still considering should I go for DL650 or Barkbusters VPS BHG19 handguars (check link, it should fit). I also need mount for my Garmin Nüvi 500 GPS navigator (cheap and weatherproof) and a power outlet. Couple of days ago I started thinking about getting the Tigerscreen, seems like a good choice when doing long trips. Only problem is the price and the looks.

By the way, the color of my TDM is the one that Henry Ford approves, black. laugh.gif

Hi Everyone,

New user here, ride a 99 TDM 850 in Silver and Black with full colour coded Givi Monokey luggage. This isn't the first TDM i've had now come back to one of the best all round bikes out there.
I've come from the sportsbike area, been riding an R1. I'm from North Yorkshire, ex forces, and been riding for 21 years, great site with loads of info.

Hi All,

I'm John, living in Cambridge.

Firstly thanks to dapleb for sorting out my account such that I can post, I've been browsing for some time but failing to get validated, but that's sorted now, so here I am...

My TDM arrived last Sunday, it's a black 2008 one, totally standard with no mods at all, just a full Yam Service History for it's 9,000 miles. I've only mamaged one ride on it so far, as it's so bl@@dy cold and I've been whimping it as a fair weather biker for the last two years - so not use to the cold. But it was a thoroughly enjoyable ride and I was pleased I made the change.

Hope to meet up for a ride out some time soon (should it ever warm up...)

I'll try and make it for the ride from Milton to Ace.

Maybe should have kept my previous bike for trips down there (Triumph Thruxton).

There should be quite a few TDM's going from all over the UK so we'll get the chance to put faces to familiar names

Promises to be a good day out

Hi
I live in Surrey. TDM is my first road bike. Have always owned Yamaha (DTR and TTR) but managed to stay on the dirt tracks until I moved to the UK. There is a great club named Trial Rider Fellowship but the limited numbers of trail frustrated me. I love the TDM and I am delighted to join Carpe Diem. Oh, Fernihough is the Valentino Rossi of the 1930s (I only know because my first address in the UK was "Fernihough close"...isn't that lucky?)
