Lovely looking bike, but weighing in at 261 kg and having all those "rider aids", I can't see me swapping the niner for one, whatever the price.

Also think the twin silencer mock ups looked far better than a single exit.
Specs dont look overly impressive either and only 190mm travel front and rear, won't take much to bottom that out if you take it off road.
Been looking forward to this for about 18 months now and TBH I'm pretty undrwhelmed, that said, I've got a 4 hour test ride booked when they get one in at my local dealers, maybe/hopefully I'll be proved wrong because I really want one of these.

However, Yamaha now have a 1200 twin based on the TDM engine, so hopefully in the future there will be TDM1200.

I can't afford both so the TDM has gone and I have the XTZ. Both are good. I miss the (relative) power of the TDM, but I love the XTs riding position, and fro back lanes (where I prefer to ride) it is really good. I would give both 8/10, but for what I'm doing the XTZ is a postive move for me.
Oh and its lighter than the TDM...let alone 261kgs of the Super Tenere.
