Looks like you have a Hagon shock fitted. Makes the seat higher.

scott, the hagon shock is normally longer than standard so it raises the seat height but a couple of inches
so if you'd like to keep instead of sell you could simply look for a standard shock

I'm 6ft 4 so whilst the TDM is no probs i recently rode an '07 GSXR1000 which felt like a monkey bike in comparison to the TDM's layout. Then when i got back on the TDM it felt like i was climbing onto a chopper with apehanger bars..... rotflmmfao.gif

I've seen different linkages for the 9'r to lower/raise the ride height, maybe there's some for the 850. I've also seen one with a thunderace front and rear end that definately lowered the bike. Think he had the thunderace shock/wheel/s'arm and the complete front end

Food for thought......
I don't like YZ250's anymore.........check out my avatar, one literally kicked me in the ass

if you fancy a sports bike coz "it goes quicker" come out on a couple of carpe group rides wink.gif
other than straightline speed(which lets face it just causes your licence to fly away in the breeze) the average sports bike and rider aint any quicker than a TDM
on bumpy back rounds and twistys they'll struggle to keep up

nope, the rear shock is mounted directly to the swingarm on the 850s

can lower the yokes down the forks but that will alter the steering making it turn slightly quicker but reduce ground clearence

I'm looking at trading my Fazer 600 for a TDM, if you're interested in that. 1999, 27000 miles, stainless exhaust, Scottoiler, datatagged, brand new Michelins front and back, service history, last service less than 1000 miles ago, and excellent condition in black. Nice low seat height too. More torquey and comfortable than the R6, but with pretty well all the performance. Super smooth from 2000 rpm all the way round to the redline. Selling because I go too quick on it, when I use it. (That turbine like power is addictive!) Fancy the TDM to feel less urge to fly everywhere! laugh.gif

Maybe so.... but I reckon the position and suspension will lend itself better to bumpy back roads, which are slower than the fast sweepers the Fazer likes. You think? dunno.gif

If anybody buys this bike, don't forget you need to withhold £50 for the exhaust and forward it to the rightful owner!!!!!!!
