Anybody up for a fettling day as I'm looking to service my carbs and replace emulsion tubes on my Mk1, and generally look if everything belongs where it should be? Don't mind traveling or hosting, cake and refreshments provided?

I'd be up for it if you weren't so far away.

Anyone near to Manchester fancy hosting it ?

Mk2a 2000 in Silver. Top end Refurb @ 41100 miles, Scottoiler, Renthal Road High Bars, Up & Back Bar Risers, Bellypan, DL650 Handguards, Capt. Far it's only 80 miles, nice route over the Snake then a quick blast down the M62, B&B available for those with the appropriate travel visa and prepared to travel!

I should have sold tickets / installed a grandstand when i did mine last week in Liverpool !! rotflmmfao.gif

I had it at 97 miles to Liverpool. When ya thinking of 'avin the fettle ?

I'd be up for this too, nothing needs doing to the bike but it would be good to watch and learn.

I wonder if during the fettling day or on another day we could have a fog light fitting section? I would bet that quite a few would want them but dont because electrics are like a foreign language to them ...me included! rolleyes.gif

I cant host as live on a bit of a dirt road as Erny will testify.

Would like to come along and see how stuff is done, if work does'nt get in the way.......could even bring cake i reckon.

I was thinking anytime after May 8th as I will have the garage clear and we can have space to work should the weather turn inclement? I am just off jct 5 M62 so easy access for all who want to come along and help, learn, watch, take the michael, eat cake, go the pub or just to meet and have a natter with other Carpes, basically it's open house (garage).

J5 M62 I know the road well. Got a Brother at Hindley Green, (EDIT: reads like a prison but it's not:) )Wigan and some relatives in Bolton-cestershshire.

15th-16th should be fine wi moi !

Can for me Moose smile.gif As you probably know, M62 is total toilet but there's some proper hills and luvverly scenery to enjoy afore it.

That is, once you get off the M1.

Probably exit M1 at J35a, along past Penistone and onto the Woodhead Pass route, avoid the sheeps, admire the heather and reservoirs, and then through Tintwistle (Toast Town) and onto the M56 around Manchester and onto the M62.
