Are there any old threds on the mods you can do to the 850 (1996)

I have blue spots and a 2-1 but what else can I do over the winter!!!

Really depend on what you want to do. Is it looks you want to improve, mpg, chase ponies etc, a bit more info and I'm sure the guys on here can point you in the right direction.

if ya have some spare ££££ i'd upgrade the suspension fron and rear.

spyball alarm/immob, bluespot brake calipers and Stainless hoses, Fournales air adjustable shock with Remote Resevoir, forks raised 10mm thru yokes, racetech linear fork springs in 15 wt oil, Kappa wingrack/luggage, heated grips, Kedo handguards, dual heat controller to power heated jacket liner and or pants!!, Stebel 136DB horn, K&N air filter, colour matched Baglux tank cover (magnetic tank bag modified to fit cover), osram +50% headloight bulbs, headlight protector,"NitramSpecial" parking loight, tail light indicators all running on LED's & incorporate "Lite Buddies", MK7 Scottoiler fitted, taller screen, 2-2 stainless steel CCC's, Devil stainless down pipes. MKI Renntec engine crash bars & sump guard.
engine changed july 2007 on a dyno run it made 79.1BHP / Torque 59.9Had a brief flirtation with a 1999 MKIIa but it blew an exaust valve on the M5 so was sold on to be repaired.

I loike tay and hang sangwiches !

Create a custom Carpe condom container. Don't forget a pocket for lube if you have a 900! banana.gif

-Put a 15teeth cogwheel front.....better accelaration
-Yamaha R1 front brakes (the blue ones...matches without modifications)
-Put H.I.D. (xenon) lights on.The original sucks.
-replace the air-filter box with THIS
-replace the stock carbs with FCR from Keihin or TDMR-40 from Mikuni (Racing Carbs with flat slides)

Don't forget to replace that pitiful horn.

I have dual Fiamms on now... quite loud. Due to back ordering in about a week I will have a Stebel Compact dual tone airhorn.

This is a horn so loud you have to warn the mechanic to test the horn while the bike is still outside. good.gif

You have to wire it through a relay with heavy gauge wire like the Fiamms... buts thats easy.
