Well all packed and leaving at 1.30 pm this afternoon ( Wednesday)

Sent my postal Vote, got my lottery ticket and printed off your fact sheets.

Going down to towards Bridport and Weymouth tonight.

Tomorrow, Lazy ride around to Cornwall, staying with the Grand-kids near Padstow.

Friday, even easier day. Going down to the Lizard point and will be at Lands End from tea time.

Will try and have a look at this page at the Gran-kids.

If anything happens text me.

( A tip from a trucker friend has said to keep awake take two cans of RedBull, neck one, eat a tube Maynards WineGums and sip the next can. Keeps you awake for 2-3hrs no problem)

See you all down there.

Ride Safe.

Cheers, Ivan

I start my journey tomorrow night, stright from work to Swindon for the night to see my parents.
I've had alot of grief from my family for doing this ride, but I feel it is just something I've got to do.
Truth be told I wasn't going to attend the funeral, I was a fairly new member and didn't know Mike that well.
As it turned out I had my accident the day before which would have stopped me anyway.

Mike was exactly the same age as me; I'm lucky that I have the choice to make this trip, Mike doesn't.
Yes Moose, I'll raise a glass to the big fella when we get there, perhaps most of you could do the same on Saturday night @10pm.
I'll not take many pics on the way up but will take lots on the trip back.

I'll second that. Good luck lads, ride safe and enjoy yourself. And if you feel too tired to ride, fer Gawd's sake stop and rest!
BTW, is it good planning by Cats, or coincidence, that Mikes pics were chosen for May in the Carpe calendar?

Good luck to you all, Mike will be looking down on you all and will certainly have a big grin on his face seeing you all doing this. I knew Mike and I know he will be looking after you all from up there wherever he is. If it rains, that'll be Mike having the last laugh.
I am sorry I can't join you but I shall be raising my glass in respect.
I will be doing a mini version myself next week when I do Stamford to Port Rush Northern Ireland in readiness for the NW200.

Take care & ride safe!

Just got off the phone to Andrew at the JoG hotel and he said that there were only 6 bookings in the hotel.

The last list Ivan posted numbered 11.

Have many not booked yet or who out of the 11 have decided it's not for them?
