I'll second that. Good luck lads, ride safe and enjoy yourself. And if you feel too tired to ride, fer Gawd's sake stop and rest!
BTW, is it good planning by Cats, or coincidence, that Mikes pics were chosen for May in the Carpe calendar?

It would be Mikes 51 Burpday on monday the 10th fella

The last list Ivan posted numbered 11.

One of them already said he has his weekend SATS to sit. laugh.gif So thats 10.

I reckon you will be about 6-8....thats what Im catering for anyroad. Will be at Jct27 at arf foive a waitin for you badgers. Go round the roundy bout and go right. Just off the roundybout is the petroleum station and a bugger king. Oil set up shop near the petrol station. Bacon buttresses and some mini size cake nibbles. If you don't have time or whatever oil try and moon from the underpants.....err I mean wave from the overpass.

I know you guys will be on a mission so please just grab and go, no need to fanny about. Will try and bring some basic tools incase anyone needs a last second tinker (though it seems yer all on 9'ers so prolyl best I dont touch them electric boikes!).

Have fun troopers and as someone already very wisely said....if you feel tired.....STOP.

Well Stormy lived up to his name today.

Soaking wet, its rained all day on us down here. Went to George Whites and the sound was defening inside off the rain.

Sun only came out at Padstow at 4 ock.

At Camelford at the minute at the daughter in Laws.

Looking forward to it and will check the B&B later, I booked months ago, so it might be me that is missing !

Dableb, which Junction 27?

If you can drop someone your tel number we should be able to give you a better approx time.

Dont think I will be able to check this site again, so if someone else can.

On behalf of everyone, Thanks for all the good wishes.

Cheers, Ivan,

back safe and sound and with, as I expected, a severely sore bottom, friday 400 miles down to Lands End, saturday 880 miles in 15.5 hours to JOG, sunday 565 miles in 10.5 hours home again. Bike didn't miss a beat unlike its decrepid rider.

dappers
sorry about missing you, we had it in our head that it was j25, and not suprisingly you weren't there !

Just walked in the door.....

Since leaving Hampshire on Friday the trip meter says 1982 miles and I can feel every one... I now promise to sell the engined BMX (FZ1 Naked) as over 30 hours of wind blast has almost killed me, we roughly did it in 15 hours heading up and took me 12 to get back down today. I think we have all single handedly given BP the money they need for the clear up operation too with the motorway prices topping £1.30. The road from Inverness to JOG has to be one of the best i've ridden.... coastal race track with Shell grip surfaces on the corner and road surfaces like we never see down south.

Great to meet you all, had a complete blast! - will upload piccys later on.

... anyone selling a 9'er?

Really well done to you all and glad you all got back safely. Sorry I had to bail out of this ride coz I would loved to have done it; my only consolation for missing it is that I haven't had to spend a fortune on Vaseline!
Now on 9er number 2 .....
