Nice one Chris. So that's the route out west if the weather's good lads and lasses.

West route is good by me, if drier in the east here is a suggested route to & from Banchory http://maps.google.c...r...229095&z=10

Working from a dodgy hotel wifi in Bergen, Norway just now so hopefully this works!

Might I suggest a slight variation to this route as:
this here link

It takes out the main East coast A90 stretch to Stonehaven which is boring and adds a much more enjoyable bit.

I know coz I was riding it just a few days ago when I stopped and took this picture.

Just a thought.

I'd come along me self but I'll be away with the missus.

Anyone coming north through Glasgow on the Friday?
If so, we can take the A82 Loch Lomond, Green Welly etc then either Loch Tay to Pitlochry or for the more adventurous we could do Glencoe, Fort William, Spean Bridge, Aviemore. (4hrs + stops) or someone might have another suggestion?

This sounds good to me, I was aiming to leave sunny Merseyside at about 08:30, which would get me into Glasgae at about 12:30 ish. Fatchap and Pete Kelly, you guys up for this too? We could meet at Forton Services on the M6 about 9:00?

Cheers, that`s my usual route but I was not sure how much time we would have on our hands.

Anyway, still keeping the fingers crossed for good weather for exploring the West Coast if possible!!

I'll maybe pop in here http://www.paparock.org/ and see if they can feed us?

Went into Roo's leap toask about the 10% service charge - they won't waive it! So I've booked us into Paparock for 8pm on Saturday night - they were more tha happy to look after us and it is biker-friendly to boot. Also confirmed breakfast at the Cairngorm Hotel for 08.30 on Saturday and Sunday for approximately 10 of us.
Beware the whitevanman!

No problem. Thinking about Morrisons supermarket (LINKY) which is near me in case the bikes need any emergency fettling, has cheap petrol, is on route and you can park the bikes outside the cafe window. good.gif
Alternatively we can meet at the Asda in Govan which is right on the motorway but people get shot in their cars in the car park!! blink.gif

Hi Bobajob,

I think that Morrisons sounds just right. I have put the address into my satnav, so if Matlock is agreeable, we'll see you there about 1pm.
