Genius ! You might be right there !
If I left the engine outside fer a couple o days then used some heat on the rotor it might just fall off.

Change of tactics, I'm not gonna buy a puller and instead I'll get a thick metal plate drilled and get a suitable centre bolt and nuts.
Sooooooo, what size centre bolt will I need ? Thickness of the metal plate ?

metal plate use two 6mm together or say one 10mm one and weld a nut to it. get a 18 or 20mm bolt whatever you can get cheaply. If your local metal man has an off cut of 1/2" plate use that. Try to get a fine pitch bolt if possible it will have more force. If 18mm use 1.5 pitch. Your 8mm 12.9 pulling screws should be delivered soon if the postie pulls their fingers out.

I'll nip down to my local high tensile bolt shop and see what they have. Then nip across the road and get me the plate made up with da nut welded on.
Penny dropped yet Dappers ? I'll post a photo up when it's done

Lee, do ya think there'd be any benefit in welding a bar to the plate to help stop it all spinning/twisting ?

it was really nerve braking procedure since i managed to brake 3 VW golf head fastening bolts
in the end I changed the diameter of the central from M12 to M20 which delivered lovely result with a laud bang!
also some heat had to be applied
p.s. I used 3 pieces of 4 mm steel plate and to make one laminated base for the puller
any way u'll need to apply some heat either using heat gun or torch
p.s. I also welded one steel bar to be used like a handle because it has tendency to spin with the rotor

Took said nut to Mosgrove's and stuffed it under the receptionists nose, along with me piss-artist's impression of me puller.

Can ya knock me wan o these up please duck ? Ta very muchly......tomorrow's fine. cheers bye.
Be interesting to see how my dihiaghraghm is interpreted by those in the know

what i did is that i also drill a small 6 mm hole on the bolt head ( actually just scratch the surface) so that the puller has better and more even support
anyway it is nice job and the resulting sound is really nice ( kaboom like some gun went of)

Yes, and cover it in heat shrink or wear a glove, smashed fingers on sharp edged metal is painful.
