I found this drawing of the extractor on the french technical book (3VD), hope it could help !

That's what I've been looking for, a proper drawing. Now that looks like a nice winter project to make. biggrin.gif

Found a 25mm slice of 100mm dia bright steel bar in the scrap yard, stubbed me toe on it actually, so if I tap it the right thread, no nut should be needed.

The bit of metal 'accidentally' fell into the back of the car as I know the bloke down there quite well rolleyes.gif

May as well go for a nice round half dozen pages eh ! rolleyes.gif

Thanks JBX smile.gif Lookin' at the diagram it's easy to see that the weakest part is the nut weld if the puller is used that way around.

Looks like me 18mm nut & bolt is big enough then.

In the welder's defence, I think he assumed I'd want to get a spanner on the nut, hence it not being welded fully and I didn't specify having the hole tapped, wanting to keep costs down.

I'll return the 12.9 bolts Lee, along wiv the sprock nut smile.gif

7am - think it's too early to start grinding me nut off ? unsure.gif

There you go easy ain't it with the right bits, glad to know the protector worked. Me Dad knows how to put a ball bearing in the end of a bolt to keep it centred. I will ask for a tutorial on it.

Your mkII design sprocket nut should be there soon.
