Blasted artificial limbs.... maybe you installed your right hand on your left wrist?
Do your thumbs point towards each other or away??

Easy peasy..............use a (used) match as a guide to the temperature.........when the matchstick starts to "weep" the alloy is hot enough - watch though, it soom bends

Would it be easier to change the master cyl back and adjust the handguard instead?
