There are some places for tents at the Hotel. as per Lars first post

Confirmed! And if they run out of tent spaces, we can try to include a neighbouring school camp/hostel who have several rooms and a private camp ground. Please try to book the tentspace at the hotel, and if you fail for lack of space, we will look for alternatives.

Does anyone know roughly how many TDMers will be going to the event in total? If the whole hotel is booked out there must be quite a few...anyone any ideas?
thx, APW

Have you ever lent someone 20 quid and never seen it again? It was probably worth it.

Long Loved TDM is no longer with me...

Well, experience shows that quite some people may or may not decide to join short-term. I don't know the latest figures, but I would guess something between 150 and 250 participants.

Thanks Lars, that sounds like it's going to be good fun. I look forward to the trip.

Yep, me good.gif

When Tony, Dannyboy and SagaLout went a couple of years back I think they reckoned they had 120 TDMs, hopefully there'll be a hell of a lot more this year.

Far right, middle row, doing the "I'm a teapot" stance and hiding behind a BMW. Looks like Danny behind me. No idea where Steve's hiding though.

just noticed this one Chris

if it makes any difference to Syra's decision , my Mrs (Clare) is coming and would welcome some likeminded support, so we don't drone on about bikes, sport and guitars all night long

Thanks Pete. I did tell her that Clare would be there when she was making her final decision but I think it was the fact that we would have to do one very long day each way to fit in with the ferries that was the clincher. Her limit when we tour is about 250 miles with regular coffee and cake and sightseeing stops and we will have to do rather more than that. Actually, there's not a lot wrong with talking about bikes and guitars all night!

I don't know if this was an option at all, but what about her skipping the "long run" and for example taking a train to Germany? I just did a quick check with German Rail and if you are "lucky", you could get tickets for 49 or 69 Euro one-way from/to London St. Pancras (special offer for dedicated connections). British Rail may have similar offers...
