This was one of the best tours. Not having met or know most of the the Crew it turned out to be excellent. I'm looking forward to touring Europe with Steve as we do get on rather well.
The Host's at Mototaranis were not only our hosts they were our friends. We went without nothing all of the time we were there. The room standard was first class. I for one will be going back there as a base for future touring.
Genuine People. good.gif

Pics from the start to the finish. I covered some 1034 miles in 4 days. Bike did not miss a beat, no engine oil used but I seemed to find oil on most of my clothes. dry.gif
If you see a lot of my bike then thats because I biased.
Come back over the next day or so. There's a lot of pics to upload

I really wouldn't fancy flying in one of those Horsa's, especially as the pilots term for putting them on the ground was usually "prang"

1992 Mk1, 76k miles, Hagon springs, MTC exhaust, 4½ gears Gone now :(
2009 900 abs, 42k miles, Yamaha heated grips, double bubble screen, R&G crash bungs, scottoiler, Autocom, 1500 lumen LED spotlights.

I am green with envy. Lots of lovely bikes and a lovely place to ride them in.

My wife and I are including Bretagne in our trip in a few months time. Unfortunately we will be in a car as it is in the "Too hard and Too Expensive" basket to get a bike for the journey.

We are heading down to a mate's place in Pont Croix, which is a bit south from where you were.

Now, positively salivating.

Thanks

Awesome pics ! Pegasus bridge takes me back to year 10 at school, seems so long ago ! cant believe it was 6 whole years ago !

They built the new bridge as the river either getting wider or was widened. The old bridge was of course too short.

The museum is pretty good there, i think we spent almost a full day.

One thing you missed though, on the other side of Pegasus bridge is a cake shop, one of the best in all of france my history teacher said.

In fact, in this picture http://i246.photobuc...um/DSCF0305.jpg it should have been right behind you. That is if its still there.
