Sorry I can't make it this year, flying out to Turkey on 7th Sept. That's what happens when you leave holiday arrangements to the wife!!! Have a great time.

Good question. Tony managed to plot a fantastic B road route last year from around Matlock to Carlisle, then a short motorway hop around Edinburgh and back to the twisties to Aviemore. Can you bung me a copy of the ITN file for that Tony?

Myself, Pete Kelly and Colin will be departing from Liverpool, Warrington and Blackpool respectively. we usually meet up on the M6, north of Blackpool at about 9AM (9:30 for Pete, who will be late rolleyes.gif ), blat up the motorways to Glasgow or Edinburgh, meet up with some of the locals for lunch and then they take us on the scenic (twisty) route to Aviemore yahoo.gif , getting there for in time for tea. A bit less intense than Tony & Chris' cross country adventure ohmy.gif

Nah, that was a pisstake as people were going on about some of our goat tracking sessions. My satav did want to send me up a few like that but we declined. Some stretches of single track had a bit of crud in the middle of the road with grass growing in but it was all tarmac.

Hi Lew,

I have already arranged a booking & payment for the 6 of us attending (two rooms).

You can either book a bed in the dorm or wait to see if there are any others wanting to go that have not decided yet & book a private room - Here is the website http://www.syha.org....s/aviemore.aspx

I`ve just checked & there still is availability... so go on man & get booked in! drinks.gif

We have approx another week brfore I need to make a booking with Aviemore Youth Hostel, as the current bookings are under 10 (7 at present) I need to pay in full at time of booking, can you PM me your email address if you want a place at the hostel & I will send you PAYPAL instructions (looks like the costs will be approx £19 per night to cover temporary membership fees also), otherwise PM me if you want to pay by cheque.

Anyone else intending on attending?

What about you Dandy & Paddy900? dunno.gif

Can't commit at the moment - and sorry, don't fancy the hostel much - might look into alternative digs though - still waiting to see what my elbow can cope with yet - still using the scoot to get it back to strength after the op.

Well hope you can make it - hope your elbow recovers soon (nothing serious i hope), maybe I will have a chance of keeping up with you if you bring your scoot! tongue.gif

In your dreams Patrick. rotflmmfao.gif I once followed him on a rideout at one of the Bellingham G2Gs (we must have another). He was going smooth & quick in his usual style and I was congratulating myself on keeping up with him, just. Then I realised he was riding one handed and messing about with his visor. rolleyes.gif

Just had a look at the single rooms, for £25 a night I think I'd prefer a bit of privacy. I Don't mind sharing with carp-e-dinians but i don't fancy bunking with a stranger.

I'll see if I can get my rotas for the end of the year, or at least weekends.

then book it on pay day.

Is there anything in the way of itinerary yet? on the lines of what were doing when we get there? ride-outs and or visits ?
