Bit of a Problem Chaps !

Apparently the Cronk-Dhoo Bunk house, isn't !

Peter and DaveM have been in touch and so have I. The new owner has found out that there is no License for the Bunkhouse to be used for sleeping.

There are no cerificates from the tourist board, planning permission, insurance, emergency lighting or Fire certificates. Apparently Lynne just started using it and never said anything.

There is permission for its use as facilities for the campsite, so we can use the kitchen the lounge, showers and toilets , but only if we are in tents or camper vans.

I have also found out that Lynne pocketed all of the deposits and the new owner was honoring the bookings in the hope of collecting the 50% cash on the day. ( Maureen the new owner can give us the number and address of Lynne if anyone feels up to demanding the cash back).

So ........ We either all take tents or find somewhere else and loose the deposit. Maureen, is trying to help us as much as she can, she has offered to bring some of the folding beds down for anyone to use in their tents if you want.

As I am in a tent already, it is up to you to decide if we stick with this or try and find somewhere else.

Hi Ivan,
I have booked and paid for a room in the farmhouse. I will try to get in touch with them to see what is happening.
We are not going to let a small thing like accomendation get in the way of a great week end are we.
I will still be going, not to bothered if we have to change places or even take a tent.
Cheers Rob.

Just had a chat with the new owner and the only accomadation is camping. Looks like Lynne has done a runner with our money.
I paid through pay pal but they can do nothing because it has been more than 45 days so it looks like trading standards or the small claims.
Any way lets not spoil a great weekend. I will be looking for a b and b. But if camping is the only way then fair enough.

Need to check but Im £30 out on this. Might drop in and find some time to chat with her. whatcha.gif

This may explain why Tony called me earlier.

Well Im gonna take the big tent. This weekend will be a good shakedown for the European run in June.
We can use my tent for meets, drinks, swimming, powerboarding, 200m sprints, etc

Putting this tent up at gone 11pm might be some fun though... laugh.gif

Sorry to hear about this, doing a runner is a shit of a trick. If it would make life any easier, I may be able to borrow my daughters tent and put it up for you. It's not got 3 bedrooms and double garage, but it would do until the next day.

I'm sure there will be plenty of us around willing to help you (and Cats with his tent) put the tent up.

Sounds like we have a plan coming together here!
