All back in order now and scrubbed in. The TPLQHCSRS business account will be working overtime just to keep me in oil. All I have to do now is decide just how many different sets of wet weather gear to take.

Yes, gonna take it first thing tomorrow morning to my local bike garage to see what they say.
I remember pulling out a small sharp stone that was stuck in the tyre weeks ago, the slit has now reached the end of the tread but not sure if it's spreading any further into the centre of the tyre.

Thanks Lars, I do not leave home until tomorrow so will see if I can get a replacement here. Thanks anyway, I'll post on here whether or not I can get a PR2 or PR3 locally or if I have to start checking out tyre dealers on the way south to Warrington so no need to order one in Germany (at least not yet!

Thanks a lot for the offer anyway!

Not necessarily cheapest, but I have been going for nigh on 20 years and the fitter who does mine is a biker and I trust him.
They are close to town centre, on A50, under 10 mins from M6 J20 Lymm turn off.
Hope this helps
