Just wondering if they might be dooable or not Lee, 63mm diameter is pretty big innit !
errrrmmm,
I've been having a think about that, what about trepanning a circular plate from a 75 x75 x 5mm square alloy one on a lathe face plate, having first drilled a 25mm hole ?
Next is how are we going to hold the tube in the plate ? Tig weld ?

Sounds like a fair bit of faffing about on your part Lee
Wonder if it'd be better/easier if the plates were laser cut ? Maybe Celticbiker could do 'em for a price ?
I did think about an interference fit for the pipe but wonder if the 5mm plate might not be enough to keep the pipe in place when fitted. That said there shouldn't be much happening that would force the pipe out. A couple o spot tig welds would deffo keep 'em in place tho.
A note on the pipes, the originals exit the silencer at an angle so that the fumes are blown out horizontally. The fumes from the custom ends would exit at an angle pointing upwards, I dunno if it would interfere with any luggage or not.

My dad was a Metal fabricator for over 20 years
I wonder how he would make them ?
Do you rekon they are a piece of pipe with the collar welded on?

I think they were milled from a single piece of aluminium. Should be Pa Larkin quality hand crafted at that price

I got a stock silver colour 3VD silencer system which I am cutting through the welds (done), removing the guts and welding back together (having Mig, Tig Stick & Bottles does help
If it works ok I'll probably leave it there, if not then I'll remove the collector box and replace that with a 1 to 2 piece of stainless tube with a support rod & tube to utilise the existing centre support bolt.
This will take place over the summer break. Piccy's / report will be posted as and when the work is done.

How about expanding it into the plate hole, like a boiler tube in a plate, with one of these kits?

I rekon me dad could do these on his lathe.

I've chatted to Lee about them and, given the 63mm diameter, it would involve considerable time to make them on his lathe as he would be using 5mm plate that would need rounding off.
I suggested having the disc made seperately and then fitting a pipe to them and I was going to contact Celticbiker to see if he could possibly get some discs laser cut. I wasn't sure who would be supplying the aluminium and have been waiting for Lee to get back to me on this before I contact CB.

Your idea sounds a good one, Personally I prefer the look of the conical ones as I reckon they look all right. But I don't speak French so I don't reckon there's much chance of me getting any. Other priorities and all that.
But, I may be interested if you manage to get something sorted
