Nice solution to the output shaft problem, will the weld around the end of the shaft be sufficient to handle the torque?

Weld olnly has to withstand the neccesary torque needed to fasten the nut to the shaft- and yes it it will handle it with no problem!

I was imagining a grtt big chuck to ro-ro-ro rotate your TDM.

Ya could always just pull the seal out argh arrrghhh arrrrghhh and then plonk it (or a long tanger) bacon after SR.

Hey. Is there anybody who can give me exact measurements of front wheel spindle and its bushing (lenght, diameter)?
I've completely lost mine, so have to lathe a new one.

Hi

I'll check it for you, but youŽll have to let me know exactly what part you are referring to, as my english motorcycle words are not so many... here is the part list, check the front wheel and let me know what part it is...

I used Dupli-color heat resistant paint. It said 690C max temperature on the can, but you actually dont't need more than 150C heat resistance.

Bit of a late reply, brilliant project cant wait to see it finished but what did you paint the engine hangers with?? im trying to paint mine black and cant find anything that will stick to the alloy? also what was the colour of the engine paint you used as there are a few blacks ive come across smile.gif cheers

I painted both engine and its hangers with the same spray paint. It was heat resistant dupli-colour matt black

Little update on what I've been doing.

Most of the weekend I spent on TDM's electricety as I had only 6V on headlights. I cleanded, resoldered and changed a lot of connectors, but still in the end I had no more than 9,6V on headlights (with no engine running).
Previous owner of this bike had monted 2x H4 bulds in front and did these bad connectors as well. I changed these connectors to proper H4 bulb connectors and of course soldered all the connectors.

Then added final wheel stripes:

And finished welding my new exhaust can: (TIG welding thin stainless steel is a pain in the ass!!!)

And checked how my emulsion tubes are working. It looks to me they stil dont't do a good job as big droplets of fuel are been sprayd out of the tubes. Here is a small video:

Hi Margus. I tried to get new emulsion tubes from factorypro. In 2 months they were not able to give me delivery price to Estonia. I've heard that other estonians have also had problems with factorypro. I finally ordered new original tubes from Kedo.de. Shipping price is high but I ordered tubes for my friends too, so we could share the cost.
Looks like you are going to have a really nice bike.
