with a heavy feart i hafta pull out of this GTT. Basically the missus is in for some serious unexpected eye surgery later this morning which has destroyed our 4 day break to Cornwall this weekend and means oil be atome to nurse her back to full elf. Added to this is the problem that we're moving house next weekend and she'll no be able to help out at all and oil hafta do it all meself ffs !!! This also means she needs to go back into hospital in june to have the oil extracted (it's meant to be there to aid detached retina recovery) from her eye ball and also means we'll not be able to tour Scotland and meat up with Dandy and his burd, so that tour will be postponed till august/sept time. God give me strength !!

Catsbum i dunno how i stand as regards the possibility of transferring my ferry booking to someone else as it's prolly 'non transferable' but if i can i will pass it on FOC so some soul gets to use it, also my deposit money is unimportant so hang onto it and have a glass of Vino on moi. Have a noice time chaps. Now where did i put those aunty depressants !!

That's Bad news Wicky

Best wishes to your Wifey.

As far as the Ferry ticket goes you will need to look at your Terms & Conditions to see if it can be transferred. I think if you explain the situation then they will be supportive

I guess next weeks talks will be the decider Dave. If they fail and then unite give a weeks notice of strike action it'll drop in right at the wrong moment. unsure.gif

I'm round East Anglia and South East coast over Easter just hoping the garages have still got fuel but the weekend after that Devon, Cornwall and Dorset are booked may have to cancel. bummer ranting.gif

OK, negative circumstances are all coming together so I'm making the decision now, sorry to say I'm dropping out. If anyone wants a free ferry ticket pm me, though I don't know what the score is on transferring it. There's also a cabin bunk going free.
Apologies for any problems this causes, but the bullet has been bit.
Have a good trip,
Bob

Sorry you can't make it Rob.

As regards the fuel situation, all we need do is ensure we have enough fuel to get to Portsmouth coz we can fill up in France. Now, I know you guys up north have further to travel but my guess is that as there is not going to be a strike until after Easter at the earliest, which gives plenty of time to fill up the bike tank plus a separate plastic 5L can (or two) which can be strapped to your pillion seat. This should give you a range in excess of 250 miles if you ride carefully, approx distance from Manchester to Portsmouth.

Waddayathink?
Now on 9er number 2 .....
