At the risk of hi-jacking the thread, if I were to look at hosting a similar event (mainly because I need shims doing) do I need to get any extra tools in.

I've got a pretty good tool set, but that's about it (with the exception of some large persuading tools).

I can deal with the majority of the general service items, but the shims and potentially cam chain tensioner are a little beyond my know-how.

So, if I ask for help in exchange BBQ & cake do I need to get extra toolidge in as well...??!

Apart from a good set of feeler gauges and a torque wrench you dont need nowt else aside form you existing kit I think
If ya want a list, off top of me head if you got everything on the list below yer good to go (sod's law says missed something, just for being smart arse enough to try to list tools required rolleyes.gif )

feeler gauges
pen
paper
10mm 3/8 drive socket
3/8 drive rachet
6" extension bar 3/8
no.2 flat blade screwdriver
No.2 Philips screwdriver
8mm spanner or 3/8 socket
5mm allen key
10mm spanner
19mm 3/8 drive socket
3/8 drive torque wrench
Done: Homo sap navigation/ twisty thing on bars to make it go vroom/ grabby thing to make it stop (in front of twisty thing)/ 'leccy things front and rear to make it glow at night/ Sucky + drippy oiler thing to keep chains moist (!!) / Laser Pro Stock Race pipes / bleeding ear drums (see previous mod)
To do: Educate homo sap nav system to operate twisty + grabby things/ get ear plugs

All Trashed Now... Pants... its a Cat B Mwahahaha it lives again!!

Nice one.

Think i've got most of that covered.

Need a Torque wrench, and gauges, and shim's and I'm pretty much there.

Thinking about getting that £80 shim set off fleabay, so that I hopefully have all I need as I use the bike daily, so don't want to be in a situ where the bikes off the road longer than needed.

Same idea in a smaller package.
Smaller hole to drill, and doesn't go as deep behind panel as gammatronix one.
I fitted mine in Jan '11 in under an hour. Connected to DRL, so power supply is switched.

Spelt DRL wrong
