I don't reckon there is anything to worry about dabbers as the latest news seems to point towards a contract killing. Anyhow, I'd be more frightened about riding through some parts of London, even in broad daylight, than I would around Annecy; plus I always take the view that when your time is up there's nowt you can do about it ....

I don't know, they're saying it was a family on a camping trip........
Hopefully we'll find out more before we go.

My friend was robbed in a layby when he was having a rest, he didn't even know they had got into his camper van.
The favourite one is to feign an accident or indicate there is something wrong with you vehicle, anything to make you stop out in the open so they can rob you. This is going to happen more often.
How it will affect motorcyclists I don't know but we do carry everything on the outside of the bike. We just need to be more vigilant and know the vehicle is OK so we don't fall for their tricks.
My wife and I do the 600 miles from Calais to St Antonin two or three time a year and have been OK so far but there are places I wouldn't stop if there was only one or two cars there, I'm talking about the toilet/rest places on the A routes.

reading between the lines of the reports on the massacre I suspect that the only ones of us at risk will be those with some sort of role working with the military ---oops, hope ChrisG is in the other riding group to me

to me there is far too much government interest in the story, plus the fact there was a large team of paramilitary representatives that arrived from the british embassy very quickly after the massacre,my thoughts is that the family rift is a red herring, he had links as a iraqi satellite photographer, I wonder what he saw?, to me it has government agency / David Kelly undertones all over it.
