They are louder than I would really like them to be although the neighbours are getting used to them and the fun police do not seem to mind.
I bought them second hand off a guy from Singapore after the over zealous asian police had determined that they were unacceptably noisy. They have a removable baffle in them that I took out for a test and they are extremely noisy without the baffles. I have been running them with the baffles in.
The performance increase seems to be worth the extra noise. The bike seems to make more power, runs smoother lower in the rev range and seems keener at higher revs. Although this performance increase is a bit subjective, I have been thinking about a dyno test to quantify the improvement.
They came with everything needed to fit them and fitting is easy and quick. I am not sure how they will go with panniers and a centrestand. My TDM is the poverty pack without such luxuries.
Hope this helps. Here is a pic tdm pic

Thanks Mick!
Compared to Quartermaster's FUEL fitted bike, the STAINTUNE on yours is obviously mounted more in line with the stock configuration. The cans are shorter as well.
And it seems pretty clear that they won't interfere with original panniers.
So... which one should I go for? Akrapovic, Laser, LeoVince, Superpole, Fuel, Quill, Beowulf or Staintune...?
Right now, Staintune is on top of my list...
FUEL is out of the question anyway. I got an e-mail from them confirming that I cannot use original Yamaha panniers with their system...
MRA modded PUIG screen, air-box mod., Laser Duo-Tech cans, Powercommander, Symtec Motorcycle Grip Heater, Stebel Magnum (black), Centech AP-1 Auxiliary Fuse Panel, Hawkeoiler...

Could you put the prices next to it? I think all of them are pretty high quality dampers (don't know about LeoVince which I believe is Italian, I'm never to sure about Italian durabilty... Beowulf is unknown to me). You just want replacing dampers with a bit nicer sound (legal?), standard Stainless Steel?

That's correct - the dampers only with some col looking ones that bring out the deep throaty TDM sound
I don't have all the exact prices in front of me, but STAINTUNE is expensive (approx. £580) - no doubt about that. FUEL is the cheapest...

UK company: Link. Not inpressed with the finish on their rad covers. Not seen their cans, though - and I can't see TDM listed: just the usual sportsbikes.

And check out this one!
A complete TDM tourer, right?
Does anyone recognize the exhaust system...? Looks nice and low enough for Yamaha panniers...

The sound is probably awesome. The look awesome too! I just checked on the manufacturers web site. Unfortunately AKRAPOVIC offers only an open system to TDM. It's not road legal. I need a system that's road legal...
The pipes are raised too high (it looks like it's not possible to combine with Yamaha panniers...).
I don't think Akra is an option for me...

500 pounds worth of better sound? How do they compare with the vid of the Fuel and Superpole cans? Eventhough mine are legal ones with db killers... I'll make a vid later without the killers.
You can get engraving on the Superpole dampers as well:

Your own letters combo is 50 euros per damper (like the Nick'sSV), your own design drawing 120 euro per damper.
The alu dampers of superpole are the cheapest. With EC approval they would be 305 for the pair, including removable db killer. At no extra charge you can choose whether you want round or oval and what length (350/400/450/500mm). Lids and innerwork at stainless steel.

Wow dude... you're like soooo prehistoric
, it's almost adorable... Once you start watching a few clips you'll figure out you won't need TV for the next 50 years or so... (lots of crap on there too actually). BBC and the Dutch public channels will start saving all their programs on youtube and/or video.google.

Thanks for your kind comments. Next production is "Revenge of the heated handlebar rubbers".
I was impressed with your videos, my "office", a VW Passat on the M6 in the Midlands, would not have quite the same impact I suspect.
