Good luck with the meet. It's started to snow again down here - hope it's gone by Sunday and the frost holds off unsure.gif

Know that road well, from Buckden along the source of the river Wharfe.

Must say my favourite road round here is from settle to Hawes though, especially the bit from Horton to Ribblehead. Looing forward to meeting you guys. This bike Im getting on Friday hasnt been out since JUne and Im a litle concerned about the tyres. I presume whatever is on there is standard fit and i think teh were Metzlers of some flavour. Anyone know what they're likely to be and are they any good?

Cheers PB

if they are the standard metz 4's they are peg scrapers in the dry butnot fantastic in the wet , same can be said for the dunlop 220's as well.

so hopefully it will be a fine day

Well, my mrs was going to tag along. We were going to meet you lot up at the Bridge and then ride down to her brother's in Leicester for an overnight but she has decided that her boots are too tight and won't come on the bike without proper bike boots so I've now got to try and find some bike boots (cheap) BEFORE Saturday!! I popped in to Aldi as theirs are good value for money but they only do size 9-12's and there aren't any on ebay locally finishing within 36 hours. I'd really rather not go to Leicester in the car ohmy.gif(

I'm setting off from 'uddersfield about 10.00am. Might bump into you in Skipton.

If not I'm a steady rider and you'll probably catch me up on the Skipton/Kendal road.

One of my favourite routes is bradford to hawes i have various routes to get there but i always get to the b6160 head to kettlewell to buckden turn left on the unclassified road to hubberholme oughtershaw then to hawes bringing you into the village just below the petrol station. This road is VERY demanding but sooooo suits the TDM

Still working on nieces house for next couple weeks but I`ve just dropped off all the tools I need out of the van at the house.. that way if I can get there early doors and get stuck in ,and because I`m on the bike, I might be away at 10.30 and be able to go straight from Bradford I`d make it no bother to the butty van.,

BUT.... nothing ever goes right when I need it to.

So... silver TDM850... black helmet , blue jacket..... By the way .. Who`s buying???

P.s If a small guy on a blue Bandit answering to the name of Baz gets there before me then will somebody get a ladder and help him down.. if he`s coming towards yer smiling rolleyes.gif with his helmet flipped up, it usually means he cant stop so get out of way.. it`s a nervous smile he has. blink.gif
Well, everyone knows that the speed of light is 299,792,456 meters per second. and thats all very fine and dandy, and it explaines a lot in our universe ......or is maybe it opens up more questions than answers, and the most important of those is....what is the speed of dark?

ok well mine will be the BLACK one with handguards and Stubby pipes and the aerofoil on the screen mra stylee.

blue justissimo helmet if i have time i will print an a4 page with carpe tdm on it and stick it in the rear of the front screen. yahoo.gif

i am sure we will all find each other or at least introduce some bewildered TDM owners to the site, when we go over asking "who are you" "do you use Carpe" rotflmmfao.gif

Great to meet everyone today, despite that nice fella coming off. I'm just off out in the car to go and fetch his bike back here so it's safe.
Suspect it's nothing more than ligament damage, none-the-less a sore thing to have.

Here's hoping the bike isnt so bad. I'll see if we can get it into a rideable condition without much fuss.

Anyway, thanks for teh ride people and hopefully will see you again soon
