I got one oil filter for myself but 6 ltrs of oil. So Toneski if you want the balance...

Im bringing some basic tools, sockets, allen for panels, screwdriver, oh and a magnet pen. Anything else I should load? Im working on the theory that others will too. unsure.gif

The way you said about the oil it sounded like you'd forgotten the filter rolleyes.gif Iv'e got a spare filter though if someone needs one and wants to replace later

I've shoved a socket set, a set of hex and screwdriver bits, a box of gloves and several other bits in my top box, and now can't shut the fecker so I'm gonna have to shove the panniers on rolleyes.gif

Right, A couple of things, I need to be home by 4, 5pm latest. Don't see that as an Issue.

The other thing is I have just fitted some rear pads and then won some more on Ebay. So I'll bring those along in case anyone needs to replace theirs.

Knitting, I think we should talk Knitting

yahoo.gif Well! What a day! It was such a pleasure getting dirty with you guys. Although I still have a slight misfire between 2-3k She is running a whole lot smoother. Wished I could have stayed longer too. 7pm and my bike is currently draining in the garage awaiting a new filter n oil. I learned so much today and comparing TDM's was so interesting too.

Where's the pics then?

jht, your a God in my little world.

What a day. Thanks!

Yep, big thanks to JHT for a superb emulsion tube master class. I've learned loads. Bike now runs a lot smoother and the massive flat spot I used have around 3000 rpm has vanished. Only problem is I now have the urge to ride everywhere at 2500 rpm just because I can.

Between Tony and myself we've probably got over 100 photos that will take a while to sort out. I reckon we should try and produce a beginners guide to emulsion tubes.

In the meantime here's a photo of Toneski, Catsbum and JHT admiring JHT's bike in a well earned tea break (note the number of packets of biscuits present)

And Tony enjoying it all a bit too much

Was a pleasure gents, we will do it again sometime soon (and hopefully throw in a ride too!)

I'm OK, guessng Tone is to (tho just knackered after a hard night gaming eh?! rolleyes.gif ), so Chris I reckon it must a been that last Jaffa cake rotflmmfao.gif

Now Martin, there is something NEEDLEing me about your bike still, it NEEDLEd me that we ran outta time, but I'm less NEEDLEd than I woulda been as we got some improvement, and being less NEEDLEd is good. I think that a good ride would help her stretch her legs after a year, tho don't get caught at speed cos you may NEEDLE the plod, and if you got nabbed by one of those numerous Gatso's in your neck of the woods you'd get the right NEEDLE (can you see a theme forming here rotflmmfao.gif )

Tone, how'd she run? rubbers stay on OK so far?

Edited by jht, 16 June 2007 - 10:23 am.

Done: Homo sap navigation/ twisty thing on bars to make it go vroom/ grabby thing to make it stop (in front of twisty thing)/ 'leccy things front and rear to make it glow at night/ Sucky + drippy oiler thing to keep chains moist (!!) / Laser Pro Stock Race pipes / bleeding ear drums (see previous mod)
To do: Educate homo sap nav system to operate twisty + grabby things/ get ear plugs

All Trashed Now... Pants... its a Cat B Mwahahaha it lives again!!

Im not sure about this. Been thinking all day about it. Something keeps coming to me,, what the hell is it? There it is again. Boat race around the Isle of Wight, Knitting, Dentist, Doctor,,,,,, NEEDLES.

how did that get into my head then?

I'm going to be ordering them this week. Im also going to be ordering the 2 round 'rubber necks' which secure the carbs onto the engine block.
Let me know if you guys want anything and I will add it to the list. Also. Do you use a Yamaha Dealer which will give us CARPE discount. Let me know. I'll get the parts and we can settle up next time we meet.

Went to work on the bike today and JHT your again correct, coming home the misfire is all but gone but only the slight hesitation at 2500revs. The NEEDLES will be the problem

Bloody hell!

Prior to jht's toob masterclass I'd averaged 38 mpg on the previous 3 tanks of fuel.

Just been out for a 100 mile blast and got 52 mpg! yahoo.gif
