Well spotted, cos it wasn't in the first post.
Park was unoccupied at the time (but it could have been) , so not an issue as far as kids watching.
the wording in that initial post was way past a light prodding.
In your opinion.
Some folks seemed to think otherwise from their snappy replies.
just making sure it does. why take chances? obviously people react strongly when disgusted. we dont want to disgust anyone.
Is it just me, but I can't help thinking you are over reacting somewhat to a relatively mild posting about what I'd seen during an afternoons rideout?
Well I was "disgusted" by their actions, although to be fair, "disgusted" is probably the wrong word.
Offended is closer. So it is all right to "offend", but not to be "offended" in your book?
if you want to state your opinion, state in a calm and polite way, otherwise expect censoring/deleting.
the original topic was not deleted, its been quaranteened.
I agree, Carpe isn't the place, so why are you getting all uptight about it, and creating the debate? If the self righteous ones hadn't complained, then the thread would have died a death by about post 12!
Calm and polite .......... ? do you think my sign-in name is because of the weather?
Not deleted? just quaranteed ............ the difference to us non mods is what exactly?
ah! possibly the real reason for your indignation perhaps!
On some other forums, when a post is moderated, at least a reason is given for the intervention, and occasionally the opportunity is given to retract or rephrase the "issue". No such chance here obviously.
Personally, along with Wickys' comment, I would like to know, for the record, just what exactly is causing the thread to be "lost".

But again it come back to the overtly politically correct climate that we're now conditioned to conform with.
I'm not having a pop at certain factions of society but it's a fact that some of them now have carte blanche to do as they want, and anybody passing comment is considered racist, homophobic etc.
Look at these scenarios.....imagine Stormy's post said this....
"I saw two black blokes in the car park selling drugs and pimping".....racist.
"I saw two Moslem women in the bar trying to eat food with their veils down"......prejudice.
"Everywhere you go in that area it's blacks and Asians".......racist.
"I'm sick of all thse homosexuals running round with their gay parades and gay rights".....prejudice.
However....
"The US media is Zionist controlled and they have their own agenda"......acceptable.
"I'm not living anywhere near Gypsies"......acceptable.
"Our towns are being overun with Polish immigrants".....acceptable.
"The Welsh are a bunch of inbred sheepshaggers"....acceptable.
So you see that certain factions that are outside the norm are still fair game....while others have carte blanche to do what they like.....and generally milk it for what it's worth.
Over time, some of these factions could move into the "can't pass a comment group" so you better get all your shots in now while you still can.

The group that seems to complain most is the whinging WASP Mail reader, who yearn for the old days when the map was mostly pink and the groups you've referred to 'knew their place'.
Political incorrectness gives licence to extremists - I'd see that as worse
