Sorry Guys, no broadband for the last 24 hours so only got to see this part of the thread this evening. I am happy to organise with my lovely assistant Emmett. I had kept quiet as I was waiting to see if there was any general agreement rather than coming forward with ideas that might influence people. I have done some groundwork and, if Kerry is the choice, then I will go ahead and firm stuff up.

I did a quick tour of the Ring of Kerry, and the Skellig Ring, after RTT04.
Here's a couple of pics to whet your appetite.

I shall be there wherever and whenever it is! I do fancy Ireland though; never been there and always wanted to go with Chris. I'll be on my own now though as, for those that don't already know, Chris passed away Sunday last. I shall go there as an additional trip anyway should you all decide to go elsewhere.

It's getting very difficult to find good staff.

I believe that an RTT organiser has the powers of a Moderator. I know who I would moderate first!

Location and dates to be posted soon. I am consulting with my currently unmoderated assistant.

Sorry, I thought it was sorted to be Kerry. If not I should be told and I will unfocus!

Wherever it will be it seems to me that it is unlikely to be held earlier than in 7-8 months so to get people to do more than generally show interest in coming would be enough and then the time to make committment would be early 2008.

Would be nice esp. if our side of the Channel. Best to set the date and then broadcast, though?

Still being a bit of a Johnnie come lately compared to some around here, am I right to think that historically there can only be one RTT each year but this should not preclude large G2G's else where?
If not we could have RTT8 Parts One and Two?
TS50ER, Suzuki GT125, Cagiva 125, Suzuki GT250 20 year gap. Honda CBF600. Discovered the joy of TDM, 1974 GT250 has joined the stable

There seems to be enough interest to support more than one in 2008 - provided the "somewhere else" option gets sorted, which calls for a secondary poll on thet front. Meanwhile go ahead and tidy up the Ireland meet.

Think there should just be one RTT (thats the one event that occurs EVERY year). There is no reason that other get togethers can't be arranged elsewhere.

Instead of an anonymous poll, why dont we have those who are actually planning on going, state their interest and preferred location, otherwise it could end up with those attending going somewhere that others not attending have voted for!!!!!!!! And during '08 RTT we definitely need to sort out the location for '09! rolleyes.gif

For example:

Dappers (going regardless of location, prefer Ireland).

"Whats up", "Piston Broke", "Yeah me too...hic"
