I agree with Pict, normally I would welcome any one but if that's there attitude they can sod off and we will get by just fine on our own.

I was referring to the unreasonable response of your clubmates to your/our friendly offer - if you'd stop and think about it, I was the first to support you when you brought up the TRX theme, so less of the mud if you please. I'm just sorry you've responded wearing such a huge TRX badge.

Mud? Perhaps you should have thought about your repsonse, before flinging it first.

I, too, was disappointed, in both the response of 2 (?) TRXers and a similar number of Carpedians.

Discussion is now pointless, as your clubmates now appear to deem all TRXers unwelcome, because some of them have expressed an opinion, which has been assumed as being unanimous within the TRX forum.

What "badge" would you have me wear? I have no other.

I'm so f*cking sorry for even having the gall to suggest it in the first place.

Calm down a bit Youngy, it's only a bit of friendly marque rivalry rolleyes.gif
I've been to meetings with Fazers, SV's & allsorts on different bikes so I've seen it from all angles

We'll all go along & have a great time taking the piss out of each other & our bikes
Main thing is we ALL ride bikes, so we all have a lot in common
I've NEVER been to a combined marque meeting without having a laugh.

Hope to see you there good.gif

Now tell me about TRX's, if Tony's got one, I really ought to have one !

We're on the same side, if you'd stop to realise it, which is why I was so pissed off at the TRX club response to your honest invitation. So let's start again - assuming there are friendlier moderates in the TRX ranks who have yet to be heard? I apologise for my part in any muddle - put it down to tiredness.

What time at Red Lodge?

Things have changed!!
We are now finishing at Red Lodge transport cafe...

We are starting at Bury St Edmunds Lorry park on Rougham Hill near Council tip at 10:30 am on the 5th April....

In my eyes any make and model of bike can turn up as long as they are slower than mine tongue.gif !!

Cos I might struggle to show the route if people are quicker than me!!!!

TRX's are the closest thing the TDM have as family so why diss them!! we share the same heart and a iconic 10 valve one at that??
Hopefully they relised I had my tounge in my cheek with my comments!!!

I am sorry if it offened them and it would be great to have all kinds of bikes there.....Make the piss taking more fun yahoo.gif

See ya there and then..

My Super Modded TDM has gone to a new home :(

I'm now a carbon whore!

Precisely why youngy's suggestion was a good one. As I've been saying, if there are any more TDM-friendly and unbigoted TRX owners out there, let's share.....

whoa folks, there is nothing on the TRX site about this that goes anywhere near nasty
pls dont overboard, the TRX guys(&gals) are very similar to us lot in spirit, friendliness, attitude and interests.
they have been very helpful with TDMers looking for performance mods, same as we've been helpful for the more mundane maintence info
its all friendly banter and it should be taken in such a manner, i'm disapointed that anyone would suggest otherwise
why start a flame war sad.gif sweeping generaliseations dont help anyone

the TRX is as good a bike as the TDM, its more focus'd on the sportier side, same as the XTZ is more focused on the go-anywhere touring

the bikes share a lot, including many owners who have both TDMs & TRXs
so play nicely please

ooh and merry xmas from someone who plays to many games and looses track of the time rolleyes.gif
really must go wrap me pressies now.....

a) Already whoa'd and said sorry - see above. But what can you expect if you invite people to a meeting and the very first response from a senior level is negative?

b) Good to know. Difficult to detect "friendly banter" in strangers, and I've had too much of the TDM being pee'd on. Let's hear some more positive stuff from the other side.

c) Agreed (also said above) - that was the whole point of youngy's strategy and my own ready response based on real interest (q.v.)

So - before I get me coat - Merry Christmas EVERYBODY!! banana.gif clapping.gif
