Thanks for your kind assistance, Hanno. One point of concern, though - please let the guys know if this brings you PayPal or other costs.

Don't know, but I don't think so. PayPal transfers in germany are without any costs.

QUOTE(Pict @ Sun 6th Jan 2008, 12:41 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Otherwise no problems - "Ein Weissbier mit Hefe - am liebsten vom Fassboden, bitte" will be a nourishing and cleansing start to the day. smile.gif

Yes, but you also have to order a couple of "Weißwürste" (bavarian sausages), a "Brezel" (pretzel - best known since Dubya had some difficulties to eat one) and some "süsser Senf" (sweet mustard). That would be an original bavarian breakfast.
But - you will not go to Bavaria. The so called "Weißwurschd-Äquator" is 100 miles south of the Megatreff place. This equator defines the border of the bavarian culture in germany. Northwards of this people don't have such a strange behaviour in having breakfast. :-)

Thanks Hanno. Don't think there's any charges on paypal but if there are let me know and I'll send some more.

Tony/Steve/Danny, you all still in? If so I'll send Hanno €100 to reserve us a spot in the hut.
What's your views on Sunday night and breakfasts. Breakfast in the hotel makes sense to me but I'm happy to head home either Sunday or Monday.

1992 Mk1, 76k miles, Hagon springs, MTC exhaust, 4½ gears Gone now :(
2009 900 abs, 42k miles, Yamaha heated grips, double bubble screen, R&G crash bungs, scottoiler, Autocom, 1500 lumen LED spotlights.

Right, I've e-mailed Hanno to see if we can book it through him, and check the availability of the hut. If he's happy to do it I can collect money off you lot and pass it on to him, though if he can't take paypal we'll need to pay to use IBAN.

Let me know how much and how you want it paying and it will be on the way

As I understand it the plan is 4 of us (Tony, Steve, Danny and myself) arriving on the Friday night (23 May) and either heading home Sunday afternoon or Monday morning, depending if people generally head home on Sunday or not. Monday being a bank holiday I'm quite happy to stay Sunday night if that's a not a problam with accomodation, how about the rest of you?

I would be more than happy to head back early Monday morning.

If we can't get in the hut do you want to try and find a B&B or camp?

Leave it with you but its a pain lugging camping gear with out side boxes.

Anyone else want to add themselves in to this?

Hi Chris, i'm still in, just let me know when you want some dosh for Hanno. Don't mind staying in local b&b or the hut and will fit-in with everyone else. As for the return journey, I'm planning on staying in europe for another week and will be heading south through switzerland etc. and if anyone else is up for that then obviously would be pleased for the company. If we are going via eurotunnel, i will only need a one-way ticket but we can make these arrangements nearer the time. Are you going to wokingham on 19th jan for breakfast?
Now on 9er number 2 .....

Moin moin,

I´m a member of the german tdm-forum and responsible for the bookings at our meeting at Langenei.

My dear friend Hanno already told me, that we got 4 reservations for the hut from UK.

Excellent choice.

In a couple of days you will find your names here: http://www.wiki.tdm-...tle=MT08_Huette

If some of you want to stay untill Monday, you are invited to move to the hotel on Sunday for Euro 35,-- per night including Breakfast. Maybe that´s a bit more comfortable.

You are also automatically booked for the BBQ an Saturday at night. On Saturday you don´t even have to walk all the way down to the hotel, because everybody else walks up to the hut, where the BBQ takes place.

For breakfast on Friday, Saturday or Sunday and dinner on friday at the hotel just send me note.

At the hut you will find a fridge with some bottles of healthy beverages like Krombacher tongue.gif

If you need any information about the meeting, the hut or the meaning of "Krombacher", just ask me.

Don´t worry about difficulties in language: Most of the members of the german TDM-Group speak english, most of them better than me.

See you at Langenei

Jochen

ok folks, forget the "ich hätte bitte gerne ein Bier" - take the Krombacher in the fridge. wink.gif
Krombacher is one of the best beers in western germany, brewed nearby at the Siegerland (meens winning land - wow, how funny are the names of the regions...).
Good choice, Jochen - my dear.

sorry, a little bit too fast.
I have just checked the account and they charged 3,75 € for the transfer.
I'm sorry, before I wrote the last post I have just seen the mail from PayPal and they don't include this information in the mail.
Now I will accumulate this when I transfer the money to the Megatreff account and you can repay it to me at the Megatreff in the form of a Krombacher or two.

Can't beat a bit of Fawlty towers cool.gif

I didn't even learn any German at school so I'd better get a phrase book and have a go. I've got French and Spanish courses on CD but no German.

Danny, if I sort out cash from Tony and Steve at the Berkshire meet in a couple of weeks I'm sure can cope without yours until we meet up.
