First of all, I would like to thank everyone who turned up for, well, turning up, especially those who had further to travel, because without you guys and gals, it wouldn't have happened!
I think a big thank you is also in order to JG and Landy for putting together a fine route for us. Top job guys!

The weather was kinder than it may have been and I think everyone enjoyed the day. I know Jase (Varadero guy)and I did, despite being a little chilly and mildly damp on the way home.

What happened to you Pict? I didn't see what happened to you at the start?

There was some talk of doing it all again on a different route, north Norfolk coast maybe? once the weather improves a bit, so what do you think?

Photos here...

Forgot my camera, so only what I took with my phone!

What happened to you Pict? I didn't see what happened to you at the start?

I went via the lorry park with Landy to check for any lost souls, then a *@?&%$! bus got in the way coming round the A14 roundabout and we lost contact. Finished it for me as I'd not printed off a map of the route. Ho hum. Am certainly up for a summer seasidey trip if I'm around - might even bring the wee tent for overnight? Thanks to you and others for organising the day - enjoyed it while it lasted. Hope the long-haulers got home safe and sound before the nastier weather struck..

yeah bruised pride, shoulder & meat/veg but otherwise he's ok
trixy needs new plastics, left clipon, new front wheel and the can needs polishing to remove a little bit of gravel rash
in his defence i only just missed the brick by diving deep, the bloody thing was right on the riding line dry.gif
i saw it all happen in my mirrors....he hit the brick at 50-60 going into a right hand bend, skipped to the side bounced up the curb, kept it going along the verge, but it turned into a tank slapper as he tryed to get it off the verge onto the road, he then parted company with the bike
trixy went down the road and he went back up the verge missing a tree and the 'welcome to suffolk' sign
funny thing was he crashed in suffolk and stopped in essex....right on the border laugh.gif

I had a cross-county prang a few years back - binned a Pug205 in Norfolk, ended up in Suffolk. Biggest problem was getting the cops to decide which force was gonna deal with it!

1996 TDM850 in Yellow, Motad Nexxus, MK1 bashplate, Acerbis handguards, K&N, Xenons, Aux lamps, Bluespot calipers, Renthal 755 bars, DIY panniers, JBX-inspired gear indicator.  (Currently not on the road.)

Bikes wot I have had and dun't have any more: 1983 Honda CB125TDC, 1976 Kawasaki S1C (early KH250 stroker triple), 1986 Honda VF500F2, 1992 Kawasaki KLE500.

That was a great day out. good.gif
I know it's been said but well done to Landy and Jolly for putting the route together, and Trevini for geting the idea moving in the first place. Bring on the next.
Got home just a little damp so no point worrying about the weather at all.
Watched the GP qually and Superpole, had a couple of largers so finished a great day perfectly.

My photos are uploading as I type so I'll add a link in a bit. Help yourself anyone who wants any. Not that there's any that good.

3rd go

Sorry to here about Warren. Real bad luck after do so well. Don't let it get you down.
Don't think I got a chance to say "Hi" to Stuart so that will have to wait till next time.
