spyball alarm/immob, bluespot brake calipers and Stainless hoses, Fournales air adjustable shock with Remote Resevoir, forks raised 10mm thru yokes, racetech linear fork springs in 15 wt oil, Kappa wingrack/luggage, heated grips, Kedo handguards, dual heat controller to power heated jacket liner and or pants!!, Stebel 136DB horn, K&N air filter, colour matched Baglux tank cover (magnetic tank bag modified to fit cover), osram +50% headloight bulbs, headlight protector,"NitramSpecial" parking loight, tail light indicators all running on LED's & incorporate "Lite Buddies", MK7 Scottoiler fitted, taller screen, 2-2 stainless steel CCC's, Devil stainless down pipes. MKI Renntec engine crash bars & sump guard.
engine changed july 2007 on a dyno run it made 79.1BHP / Torque 59.9Had a brief flirtation with a 1999 MKIIa but it blew an exaust valve on the M5 so was sold on to be repaired.

There's a website www.askmid.com that will show you if the vehicle is insured or not. It doesn't tell you anything else, but it lets you know someone still loves it.

As a matter of interest - if a registration does not appear on the national insurers' database, then there is a very real probability that the vehicle is not insured, or more unlikely, there is an admin problem with the reg number such as the letter M being confused with N when you quoted it over the phone to a call handler in India.

In any case, if a reg doesn't appear on the national databse, there is a very real chance plod will take the vehicle off you and leave you standing by the road side - any time of the day.

M.M.

Oh thats just ducky... you mean if I were in GB someone could walk past my bike, get the reg number and the DVLA would just hand him my name (and address)?

Bike thieves must love it.

I think you have to 'have a legitimate reason' e.g. you own a private car park and you need the address to send a parking fine to. That said, knowing how crap DVLA are, anyone can probably write in and they'll send them the details - providing they haven't lost them in the first place.
