Hi Mike,

I'll answer the pm with more details. But for now there is no time deadline or limit to numbers. We would like to see as many bikes as possible. The hostel accommodation has nine places left and there is room for lots of tents if people want to camp. There are also some good Bed and Breakfast places close to the hostel. And seven pubs within easy staggering distance.

For all the new members who may not yet know about RTT08 please look in the get togethers section RTT08 : II Ireland. If you have any questions pm me and I'll try to help. If the German meet can have 125 bikes I'd settle for 126 in Ireland!

Hi Mike, having just got back from a fantastic weekend with the German owners forum I reckon we should visit our continental frinds more often. http://www.ouestlekeum.fr/ doesn't seem to work though.

2009 900 abs, 42k miles, Yamaha heated grips, double bubble screen, R&G crash bungs, scottoiler, Autocom, 1500 lumen LED spotlights.

I´m Siggi and I have heard from this forum on MT08 in Sauerland/Germany
which a few guys of visited two weeks ago.

I live in Southern Germany near the Lake of Constance, not far to Switzerland
and the Alps. I´m riding a yello TDM900 with K&N filters ... 37 tkm now ... rolleyes.gif

Black 1991 850 MK1, 160k+ miles(ish, best guess really, gave up trying to keep count after 3rd set of clocks and 3rd engine), PilotRoad2 tyres, custom stubby exhaust system, bluespot calipers & goodridge braided hoses with dunlopads, maxton forks, Ohlins shock, kedo handguards, stainless TDM grill, Scottoiler with lubetube & dual nozzle thingy, Givi Wingrack2 with E45 & 2xE36s, renntec crash bars, Autocom with blueteeth & PMR radio, TomTom Rider2, Optimate IIIsp, Bagster tank cover, anti-dazzle coating
to fit : led spotlights, heated grips, new braided lines and rear caliper that actually has bleed nipples

I am thinking about air pressure being lower (but you probably guessed that).

well after mucho searching found a 91 850 for £635 tis on road 12 months mot and 6 months tax not in best of condition but sen a lot worse consumables all ok only thing wrong at mo is a broke choke cable pick it up this afters biggrin.gif

where are you & the bike based? (EDIT: guess thats hants? )

choke cable is easy enough to do
make sure you check the front sprocket nut for welding, if it has then walk away.....

Afternoon all.

Have been snooping around the site (thanks for all the hints and tips peoples...) and been meaning to join for a while.
Was also meaning to make my first post informative, memorable and witty but then I owned a Guzzi before the TDM so I should be used to disappointment....

Got one of the big, butch 900's in non-gay silver... Totally standard - even down to the OEM tyres. Yep, until last night, there was a bog-standard original one still about.

Live N.Hants so may catch up with some of yooz lovely people at Odium or Avebury some time...

Thanks for the welcome - it's the only way I know of getting 45000 miles out of a rear tyre...!

Sarfend & Reading? You live the highlife! wink.gif Not too far from Reading now and before they put the speedhumps in, Sarfend used to be my Friday night haunt (East End/Essex boy meself)....
How's the cockle sheds at Leigh doing? Still miss the jellied eels.....!

lol yup - the speedhumps make great wheelie platforms, just dont do it more than once in a night and they leave you alone wink.gif
