Well I have been granted permission to attend this. Wife is doing a skid-pan day with the N. Wilts RoADAR on the Saturday, so I am all on my lone-some.
If the weather forecast is not too grim, then I am going to drive up on Friday evening and camp. Hope to get there before closing time.
In line with my claim to be the slowest TDM rider in the UK & Ireland, I prefer the sound of the Cake-Cruise than the Lake-Lash.
Let's get one thing quite clear from the begining
Riding round passes in the lakes will DEFFO NOT BE A LASH or A DASH
the very nature of the passes and the narrow lanes and high banks kinda preclude anyone who has one or 2 brain cells from trying to LASH around.
it will be a nice run at sensible speeds (until the downhill section on kirkstone)
Honestly though you have to be mental to try and ride fast around tourists who are watching the scenery more than the road, sensible pace and very good eyesight req.
