Give us a little bit more time, Ian.

No problem, Hanno - I was just inviting some general examples of the surroundings.

Hi Folks,

we were so pleased to meet 4 of you guys at our Megatreff this year in Langenei, so we will also give you a warm welcome at the Megatreff in the next year.
The TDMF-Megatreff 2009 will be on 10.-14. June 2009 at the Berlin-Brandenburg area.
For the moment we don't know exactly where we will stay, but we will give you the news as soon as possible.
Maybe some of you need that infos for a very early holiday planning. So the date is fix, the location will be found in the next weeks, but it will be near of Berlin.

Hope to see some of you and have some fine beers with you (btw: also in Berlin there is no need to order the beer in dozens *gg*).

Hi Hanno

Great to hear from you again and hope you are keeping well.

I've only just picked-up on this as I've been away but like Tony, Danny and Chris I will also hopefully re-visit you guys next year as you made us all very welcome and we had a really great time. I also hope we can get some more guys from the UK to join us aswell.
Now on 9er number 2 .....

Hi Friends,

ok, all things are clear now.

The MT09 will find place at a suburb of Berlin near Köpnick.
The adress is:
Teikyo Berlin Hotel
Schmöckwitzer Damm 1G
12527 Berlin
Phone +49-306750449
There is a hotel and a Jugendgästehaus (something like a youth hostel). In the Jugendgästehaus there are rooms with toilet and shower for 3-4 people and in the hotel there are rooms for 2 and rooms for singles.
Prices are: 14,50 in the Jugendgästehaus, 49,- for single bed rooms and 69,- for double bed rooms. All prices are including breakfast.
There is a dinner buffet (? don't know the english expression) each evening for 6,50 and at one evening there is a BBQ for 8,-.
And: read carefully *gg*, beer can be preordered in barrels of 50 liter with a dispension head for 80,- . But there are also smaller glasses :-)

In summary we have up to 200 beds in the Jugendgästehaus and in the hotel, so there is no need to hurry up.

There is a Wiki entry in the TDMF-Wiki about all the related things:
http://www.wiki.tdm-..._bis_14.06.2009

Schmöckwitz (the name of the village) is located in a beautiful nature area with lakes and forests. Downtown Berlin is about 30 minutes via the Stadtautobahn.
So feel free to join our MT, you're welcome.

Reservation for the Jugendgästehaus has to be made via the Orga Team (for our british friends via myself) and reservation for the hotel has to be made by yourself (hotel stuff should speak english). Payments for dinner and the rooms can be made via my paypal account (some procedure than last year).

For any questions, don't hesitate to ask me.

Hope to see some of you crazy guys at Berlin.

Smaller glasses? Why would we need them? rotflmmfao.gif drinks.gif

Thanks Hanno.

Carpe folks, do we want to sort all this between us and then sent Hanno one large booking and bundle of cash? I don't mind co-ordinating from this side again. I'd go for the Jugendgästehaus myself.

Looking back through the thread it looks like Tony, Dannyboy, Saga Lout and myself are all keen on going back, which should show the rest of you how much we all enjoyed it last year. They're a very friendly bunch and when else will you get the opportunity to see 130 TDM's parked up together. Still haven't started on my German language CD's yet though, must learn more than "Fier Krombacher" and "Prost!" for this one biggrin.gif

Assuming our RTT isn't straight on the back of this is anyone else interested in making a fortnight of it? I'm thinking pack the camping gear and head out on the Saturday before (6 june), giving 4 days to get to Berlin (possibly via Poland), and then head for the Alps and Pyranees and get a ferry back from Santander the weekend after (27/28 june). 10 countries in 2 weeks should be possible.

1992 Mk1, 76k miles, Hagon springs, MTC exhaust, 4½ gears Gone now :(
2009 900 abs, 42k miles, Yamaha heated grips, double bubble screen, R&G crash bungs, scottoiler, Autocom, 1500 lumen LED spotlights.

Hi Chris, this plan sounds really good to me although I can't say at the mo whether I can get away for the full 2 weeks but should definitely be able to make the German meet. Will keep an eye on this g2g and try to fit-in with everyone else. rolleyes.gif

For info I think we paid £75 return for the eurotunnel last year, one way is around £60 and if anyone's interested in the 2 week idea it looks to be around £180 one way from Santander.

I may have trouble getting Jo to agree to the second week. Shame as it sounds like a chance in a life time but two weeks out of a years leave when
your married with kids is a lot to ask.

Chris, I can tell your not married by that last little comment. Now you know I love my wife dearly and would do any thing for her. However some things are just meant to be kept seperate and one of those is me going on a two weeks holiday with the likes of Tony D and your good self. I feel quite safe in saying I would rather remove my own testicles with a blunt spoon than let Jo see me following behind you two on those mountain roads. I feel quite safe saying this as ive now got Jo her own computer that is set up in a seperate room to mine after my last mistake rotflmmfao.gif rotflmmfao.gif

You'd be fine...judging by your performance on the trip back last time she'd only be able to see you for the first couple of corners rolleyes.gif

I did mention the subject of a two week break to Jo and she has not said no. We have a system of holiday allocation and re rostered rest day allocation, IE for every rest day they cancel I get one back to choose later. If I can get enough of those to tag on to a weeks leave I will be joining you!! Now all I have to do is work out and save up a suitable spending budget dry.gif

Anyone out there considered making plans yet for the German trip? If we want accommodation perhaps we should book-it sooner rather than later?
