And from a PM he sent me in happier times referring to Wicky and me’sen: “and you two reprobates (who I look upon as two sons as well as mates)” really sums up how much he meant to me and obviously he didn’t think we were too bad either.
He would be annoyed at me blubbing as I type this as it wouldn’t suit the hard exterior he would often show despite being such a wonderful, kind, generous and proud man whom I loved dearly.

Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.

As above I did not realise he was ill.
He was a good adversary when it came to mentioning the BMW word and we had a few good run in's.
