I'm running her in gentle enough, so no trouble with the power increase yet. It feels a little more grunty at low revs, but I dunno what it's like over 5thou. I did 80 miles on it yesterday, and it didn't burn a drop of oil, but even wickys bike wouldn't burn oil if it was ridden so softly.

What's it like for vibration? I'd have though changing the piston and con rods would have been enough of a change of weight to put a smile on the face of any female pillions.
1992 Mk1, 76k miles, Hagon springs, MTC exhaust, 4½ gears Gone now ![]()
2009 900 abs, 42k miles, Yamaha heated grips, double bubble screen, R&G crash bungs, scottoiler, Autocom, 1500 lumen LED spotlights.

I haven't noticed any NEW vibes, but then as I said it still hasn't been revved hard, so that could be an issue at some point.

So did you have to alter the fueling at all ? or have you not investigated any of that yet ? i know its only about 25ccs per pot but surely there needs to be a slight increase

I've added a K&N filter, put it all back together, balanced the carbs, and so far so good. It feels just fine, but once it's run in a bit I'll have it dyno'd and set up properly.

Think about all the oil you won't be buying... and all the smoke I won't be inhaling...
Seriously though, good job, I am well impressed. You deserve some sort of carpe award.
It will be nearly as good as a 900 now.

Yep........just a lighter alloy frame, lighter wheels, stronger alloy swingarm, lightweight stiffer axles, another cog in the box, efficient fuel injection and some bland bodywork to go...............
