I've just passed the 200mile mark with no problems, I've started to bring the revs up a bit and the power seems to be coming in a little earlier than before, it starts to really go for it at about 4500revs, I haven't really thrashed it yet, mainly because the roads are a bit slippery at the moment, but I'll try to take it out over the weekend. At a constant 6thou revs there was no problems with vibes, it actually feels better than before, but that's most likely because the engine has been refitted and torqued up properly. I still haven't burned a drop of oil, and that was the main objective.

Right Ipassed 500 miles on a trip to Aberdeen yesterday, I came back on about 120 miles of motorway/dual carriageway, it didn't burn a drop, I mean really not a smidge, it felt lovely and it's a bit quicker than before, but it still didn't stop me freezing my arse off the whole way there and back, by the time I got to the forth road bridge I was having trouble gripping the throttle because my hands were sore with the cold, so maybe heated grips might be the next modification
I'll give it a first service over the weekend, but I think it's finished.

Black 1991 850 MK1, 160k+ miles(ish, best guess really, gave up trying to keep count after 3rd set of clocks and 3rd engine), PilotRoad2 tyres, custom stubby exhaust system, bluespot calipers & goodridge braided hoses with dunlopads, maxton forks, Ohlins shock, kedo handguards, stainless TDM grill, Scottoiler with lubetube & dual nozzle thingy, Givi Wingrack2 with E45 & 2xE36s, renntec crash bars, Autocom with blueteeth & PMR radio, TomTom Rider2, Optimate IIIsp, Bagster tank cover, anti-dazzle coating

Why do I get the feeling Yamaha UK will shortly be scratching their heads, trying to work out why there is a sudden demand for 900 barrels and pistons....
Done: Homo sap navigation/ twisty thing on bars to make it go vroom/ grabby thing to make it stop (in front of twisty thing)/ 'leccy things front and rear to make it glow at night/ Sucky + drippy oiler thing to keep chains moist (!!) / Laser Pro Stock Race pipes / bleeding ear drums (see previous mod)
To do: Educate homo sap nav system to operate twisty + grabby things/ get ear plugs
