Well, after some deliberation I decided to but an inexpensive road legal silencer and link pipe from Delkevic for my 8fiddly.

http://www.delkevic....eel_tdm850_9100

Cost was £125 delivered and I received it in under 24 hours smile.gif

Fitting it turned out to be a feckin' t**t ! dry.gif The main culprit was the existing headers (delkevic) I have, they were virtually touching the engine and by the time I'd fitted the rest, the rear brake lever was hitting the link pipe.

So, I hit the fecka wiv a big hammer ! biggrin.gif slightly flattening the part of the downpipe closest to the engine, and it did the trick.
The can material is quite thick and has a nice weighty feel, the finish on the end part is a bit rough though and I suspect it'll probably go rusty in time. The link pipe has a reasonable finish but not as highly polished as the can is.
The sound is just about right, fruity with the baffle in and not too loud, haven't tried the baffle out. Gonna go ferra blast later to see if it's lost/gained any power.
I'll post up a piccy later ! good.gif

For the price, you can't go wrong

Sorry Charlie, I found the pro stocks too noisy for everyday trips into town etc, half the street were turning their heads rolleyes.gif I'm reliably informed that these are race cans, they were also making the bike run hotter and there was a lack of oomph under 4000rpm. I'll bring 'em back over to you sometime soon matey smile.gif

It's Skippy's seat of his red mk2a, I swapped the seat that came with the bike for it. The old seat was too high fer me.

tbh I don't really like it lookswise but I can get me feet down mush better. Anyone wanna swap ? unsure.gif

Just fitted the tank cover to fit a tank bag but the bar risers mean the bars are snagging on the bag rolleyes.gif Just bought a sat nav bag mount doohickey so will take the cover off and use the mount instead.

Thats a really neat can SR, I think when mine finally gives up the ghost, which is very soon as the downpipe has a hole at the starship, I will probably go for one of those.
Good job
APW

Have you ever lent someone 20 quid and never seen it again? It was probably worth it.

Hi
I fitted the Delkevic oval 350mm just 2 months ago. Great rrrroar.
Took me 10 minuttes - including ripping the enterprise off. It fits like a glove.
Then again - I used the original downpipes.
Got a nice weightloss as well. about 6,5 kg lighter.
Btw: how do you get the wifes melted boot of the zoorst?

Pick pick pick laugh.gif

Do it cold, not hot as it just smears and makes it worse.

There are some thinners that will work but I never found them. Just polish of the stain when done picking.
