I'm sure its just like on the Mk1.... quite simple really.
  1. Remove seat and set aside.
  2. Remove left side of fairing and set aside.
  3. Remove right side of fairing and set aside.
  4. Remove center section of fairing and set aside.
  5. Remove bolt and oval washer at rear of tank and set aside.
  6. Remove bolts and fittings from left side of tank and set aside.
  7. Remove bolts and fittings from right side of tank and set aside
  8. Lift tank and turn 90 degrees to right and balance on frame.
  9. Service or remove battery.
Now is a very good time to connect a pigtail to the battery so the next time you want to charge it
you only have to fish the end of the pigtail from under the seat.

Now what was that about wanting a 'cheap' battery? rolleyes.gif

I admire the way you avoided attaching any qualifying information whatsoever to that. Can't even tell if it's simpler.
Truely well done, you are the ultimate laconic.

I find these bullet connectors from Rocket Radio very useful and cheap.
They are just right for this job.

OK this is not on my TDM, (cake for the first to name the bike), I have not got around to that little job yet.

It's probablybest if you buy two, you then cut each one off right at the end (double check you leave the gender the way you need it). You can then put some sealant over the wire ends on the reject to make a blanking plug.

Rocket Radio are only offering the 10A connector at present (fine for battery charging) but they usually also do a 30A version for higher current needs.
