Hi I also contacted Renntec, but they dont make the bars anymore. BUT... I found a japanese copy, got them today and put them on in 5 minutesIt was marked >96, so my heart dropped when I saw it, as I have 2001 4tx, but they were a perfekt fit.http://japan.webike....ts/1111143.htmlA bit pricey with freight from Japan+ Norwegian taxes, but hey, Looks lovely laugh.gif And it arrived in just a week.. Check it out Osmund
They look like a direct copy of the Renntec ones to me.

No the 900 Givi bars don't fit the mkI (and thus mkII), I've got them side by side and they clearly won't swap. The Givi bars are great on the 9er as are the Renntec bars on the mkI / mkIII don't like these bars though, don't look like they'd do much protecting?

The Wemoto bars don't stick out far enough to effective IMHO.

Are people still interested in getting some of these made?

I mentioned it to my dad at the weekend who has plenty of contacts within the fabrication industry and could probarbly get these made.

It wouldnt be dirt cheap, but should be cheaper than £100.

Say, If we could sell them at £70 a set, would people be interested?

I'd buy a set for my 850 MK1 at that price.

2006 BMW K1200S set up for touring
1992 TDM850 set up for touring

Cheers LDRider

My dads done some asking round and His mate who is still in the Fabrication business and has his own workshop has a pipe former which would do the job. Were gonna get a set made up. I'll get some pics up on here and then if people want them, they can.

No idea on price yet, but I'll find out how much materials are, and see what it comes too.

Were not interested in making masses of proffit, but just enough to make it worth he Saturday mornings work. Probs 10% on top of materials, Something like that.

I would have bought a set, but already bought a used set on eBay.

This is the best design for a mkI / II by far.
