Lately my tdm didn't want to recharge properly the battery so I checked it out by the voltmeter and it was 13,60 volts at 5000 rpm like it shoudn't be.
The right mesure must be up to 14 Volts at 5000 rpm according to the service manual.
In the begining was really odd because it seemed to me not a fault, but it was.
I have discovered a shortcut to Gnd from the turn coils of the stator wich is supposes to be electrically isolated from the ground, from the frame and from the engine, I mean.
Actually the service manual doesn't say anything about isolation from Gnd but you can see it if you have a look on the electrical diagram.
Full of doubts ,and with my battery almost discharged ,I opened the left cover of the engine and as you can see :
stator
It has some illness

and it is shortcutted to the metal frame

my poor bike
this was mi bike's fault at 102.000 Kilometers, fix it up, sorry fix her up, with a rewind one , paid 150 euros against the really expensive new brand one , I heared wich is something like 600 euros

Hopefly it will help.
