Just thought I'd publicly thanks Dappers for his valve shim exchange service.
I've just used this for the 2nd time (once for the previous 9er and now for the current one) and it's great that he can provide shims that are more or less the thicknesses you require, rather than having to compromise to the nearest 0.05 which is what you get if you buy from a dealer. What's more, its a really friendly service too!
I will also take this opportunity to ask those of you who may have some un-used shims in their garage, and do not appreciate the service he provides, to send them to him for the benefit of all.
Once again, cheers mate and I'm sure I speak for many who appreciate your efforts

Hi,
Excuse my ignorance, but what is the valve shim??? I humbly confess that there are some English technical terms that I still have not come across, although I am certain I am familiar with them in my native language...come to think of it, since our language is the Bible language, and the TDM was not around those days, (could you believe this?!!) I am not sure there's an appropriate term in Hebrew for it....
Anyhow, would appreciate anyone's short explanation....
