Whole bike is shiny shiny!

Have you got an inch of fork through the yolk, or are my eyes lying about there being a nose down attitude to that machine?

The forks are as standard. It's the 17" Exup front wheel that gives the front a lower look.

The swing arm and rear wheel are also FZR farzend. The shock mounts directly to the swing arm, which has had an alloy plate fitted where the FZR shock would have gone through, the same as the standard TDM set up. I guess the mount point is slightly different which raises the rear a tad.

Not sure why the pic didn't show itself this time!?

The bike handles and steers well enough for me. I would imagine the sharpened steering head angle is partially negated by the size of the tyres somewhat. It doesn't wobble or tank slap and appears to be pretty happy.

The pipe was excellent value I think. I haven't tested it's duribility yet but for £248 complete to my door I'm pleased with it and it does indeed sound lovely even with the baffle in. I don't wish it any louder.

That's a lovely looking machine you have there,I looked into doing the same mod regarding the fzr running gear and spoke to a gentleman from the fzr owners club,he reckoned the mod would be pretty straight forward and all the geometry lines up pretty well.if I get some spare cash I'd love to do the mod as yours look spot in and very much improved. What type of exhaust do you have on it? Ive got a motad nexus system on mine, was the price including down piepes or just the silencer? I think I would need down pipes also as the motad system dowpipes don't seem to be compatible with a lot of other aftermarket systems.

The zorst is a full Delkevic 2-1 system at £248, that's headers, link pipe and silencer with bracket roc. smile.gif

However, you can get some aftermarket silencers that'll fit motad headers, Aircooled68 has some nice wans on his mk2 but I forget the make. unsure.gif

EDIT: Have a look, but put yer sunglasses on before you click the link cool.gif http://www.carpe-tdm...o...c=24175&hl=

ohhhhh i LOVE dat boike. the grease nipple has got me feelin' frisky too but ya need a rear hugger or such loike to protect the shock etc. An alloy swinger is a noice mod imo as it looks cool.

spyball alarm/immob, bluespot brake calipers and Stainless hoses, Fournales air adjustable shock with Remote Resevoir, forks raised 10mm thru yokes, racetech linear fork springs in 15 wt oil, Kappa wingrack/luggage, heated grips, Kedo handguards, dual heat controller to power heated jacket liner and or pants!!, Stebel 136DB horn, K&N air filter, colour matched Baglux tank cover (magnetic tank bag modified to fit cover), osram +50% headloight bulbs, headlight protector,"NitramSpecial" parking loight, tail light indicators all running on LED's & incorporate "Lite Buddies", MK7 Scottoiler fitted, taller screen, 2-2 stainless steel CCC's, Devil stainless down pipes. MKI Renntec engine crash bars & sump guard.
engine changed july 2007 on a dyno run it made 79.1BHP / Torque 59.9Had a brief flirtation with a 1999 MKIIa but it blew an exaust valve on the M5 so was sold on to be repaired.

I'll have a look on the delkavic website as that would finish my bike off nicely and improve the sound no end,the motad system sounds like a moped according to SWMBO!

Sun glasses at the ready!!

As Studley says the exhaust system a full Delkevic job. The price includes all fixtures and fittings/gaskets etc. You can choose between loads of different cans for no extra charge. The website lets you cyber fit the cans one after the other to make your choice easier. Long, medium and short in round, oval or triangular flavours...there's also carbon versions too.

I do indeed need a hugger. I bought an FZR1000 item and fitted it...and took it straight off again, looked wrong, too much plastic bulk. Am working on an alternative. Riding in the dry seems to be favourite so far! I also have a brand new waiting-to-be-fitted bellypan to go on. It's the same as Studley's in his MK1 pics. The chap who makes them very kindly made me a one-off after tooling up again. I haven't managed to fit it yet what with riding everytime the sun has appeared this year! I will honour the gent soon and pop some pics up and hopefully repay his kindness by way of a small advert.

Ive enjoyed the whole experience so far and certainly like the bike. I've kept all the original items to bolt straight back on again should the need arise. All pretty simple. Am not sure whether I'll keeep the bike at the moment as I'd like to try something else soon. The days of keeping them all at once are sadly gone and it's a case of one out one in for me now I'm afraid.
