On the way to work yesterday at Snetterton a red VW van came passed me doing around a ton and I thought I'm not havin me TDM over taken by a bloody van so dropped it down to 4th and gave it some

Got level with drivers door and looked over as you do (I was doing about 130mph) and who was driving it??

Only Bloody Mr sideburns himself GUY MARTIN I made a huge mess in my leathers at that point and fell off!!

I pulled of A11 to go to work opp track entrance and He was behind so I stopped and he did to The 1st thing he said was "nearly had ya fella" had a short chat with him shook hand and as you do at those moments I didn't have a pen tdown.gif

So I have beat Guy Martin on the roads clapping.gif yahoo.gif

I was chuffed to bits that he stopped and gave me 2mins of his time TOP BLOKE

Hopefully will get meet him again today at racing and I WILL have a pen this time!!!

My Super Modded TDM has gone to a new home :(

He really is VERY good, Stormy
We go up to watch him every year at Scarborough - watching him get airborne down the back straight is something else !
He is one of the country's best roadracers & makes a fortune over in Ireland - Doesn't do so well on circuits though.
Rides for Hydrex Honda.......but still works as a fitter for his father's truck business in Caistor, N.Lincs

Well, as I said, I've never heard of him, but to be honest, as I don't really follow any of the bike racing scene that closely, domestic, road or track, thats' hardly surprising.

I'll take your word he's a good one. But, if he is one of these guys who do stop and take the time to chat to fans and spectators, then credit to him for being an ambassador for the sport.

I've heard of him JG - he's a top road racer and comes across as a nice bloke in the interviews I've seen. He was leading this year's Superbike TT until his bike broke down. He does much better on roads that tracks and he is a great interviewee - you never know what he's going to say next.
